While most of the attention on Thursday night will be on the Europa League matches being played, there’s a decent amount of matches happening across Europe where there’s plenty on the line.
We’ll be taking a look at the title races in La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga II and Turkey’s Super Lig and a Premeira Liga match as well and have turned up a very tasty looking four-fold Acca. Let’s have a look at what we’ve backing.
Hamburger can close the gap with Bochum at the top of the league to six points with three more games to go following this one and can overtake second placed Greuther Furth with a win, grabbing the second Bundesliga promotion place in the process.
The home side will be confident of taking all three points as Karlsruher haven’t won any of their last six league matches. The home side have lost just one of their last seven at home, winning four and drawing two. Karsruher’s away form is very good though with five wins over their last six on the road and they’ve scored at least one in all 12 of their most recent away matches in all competitions.
The home side can take a step closer to automatic promotion here and should come out on top but not with a clean sheet so we’re backing them to win and Both Teams to Score here.
Barcelona can take top spot in La Liga with a home win here and really they should. They’ve faced Granada 24 times at home in the league over the years and have won all 24 previous meetings. The odds reflect this though. So we need to dig deeper to find some value.
Granada have had a mighty season again but their recent form has seen them losing three of their last five matches, winning two. Their away form is pretty bad, winning just one of their last 10 on their travels but have scored a respectable 12 over those matches. Barcelona’s home record of clean sheets isn’t great, they’ve only managed to keep two clean sheets over their last 10 matches at the Nou Camp. Barcelona will surely win here and summit La Liga come full time but Granada can make it a tough night and get their name on the scoresheet against Barca’s leaky defence. Barca to Win and BTTS is where the value is here.
At the time of writing Fenerbahce are three points behind Besiktas going into their away match against Alanyaspor. It could be six points by the time this match kicks off as Besiktas play on Wednesday night. The away team are in robust form, they’re unbeaten over their six most recent matches, winning four and drawing two.
Alanyaspor are in decent form at home where they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one with Over 2.5 goals occurring in four of those matches. Fenerbahce are unbeaten over their last 10 on their league travels, winning seven and drawing three, with Over 2.5 goals landing in six of those matches. Overs has also landed in three of their last four meetings at the Bahcesehir Okullari Stadium and with the away side desperate to close the gap on Besiktas we should be looking at goals here.
Braga are short-odds favourites to win here and face a Maritimo side who are just two points above the relegation zone with four games to go after this one. The home side have won just two of their last seven on home turf, losing all five of the others, scoring a paltry four goals over those matches. Braga are unbeaten over their last six away matches in the league, winning four and drawing two, scoring 11 in the process. The away side have the momentum here and we’re adding Braga to Win to our Acca.
