If Thommo was as bang on with his shooting as he is with his trebles he might have gone on to challenge Pele for the title of world’s greatest goalscorer. As it was, the Liverpool legend had to make do with a spot in one of the best defences ever and three European Cups among many, many other gongs.
Either way, he’s back again with a tasty treble on Sunday to help you give Paddy a pounding and he’s covered Manchester City v Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final at 4.30pm, Leeds v Manchester United at 2pm as well as Wolves v Burnley in the early game. But which way is Paddy’s football ambassador leaning?
Thommo’s Sunday Treble
Defensively Spurs are nowhere near as solid as they should be and you look at them in midweek against Southampton, a header from Danny Ings, who’s not normally the biggest aerial threat, from a corner kick. I just think Man City will have far too much and I’m going for them to win.
I’ve spoken about Manchester City to beat Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final, I do fancy them strongly. But my other two are great games, historical games.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
With Leeds United vs Manchester United, there’s always a little bit of edge in the game. We’ve seen Leeds put up a good performance last time but I do believe my Liverpool side took their foot off the gas.
Manchester United, away from home, with their record on the road, I’m going for a Manchester United victory over Leeds in that one. We’ve also got a bit of a derby this week in the late kick-off with Aston Villa against West Brom and there is Wolves vs Burnley too which is where my final bet comes from and I’m going with Wolves to Win.
Thommo’s Tips
So, for my treble, I’m going to go with Man City to beat Tottenham, Manchester United to beat Leeds and Wolves to beat Burnley. That’s my treble for Sunday.

2pm: Leeds v Manchester United – Manchester United to Win
