6pm: Rotherham v Middlesbrough – Both Teams to Score? No

Rotherham’s survival hopes took a big dent in their meek loss to Coventry on Thursday. Things then became even bleaker with the late loss against Birmingham City on Sunday. They’re now 22nd, four points behind Derby County, but do have two games in hand over Wayne Rooney’s Rams.

The battle to survive is not getting any easier for Rotherham and they face another tricky test in Wednesday’s televised game. Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough are next up for The Millers but they’ve not got much to play for, having seen their playoff hopes fizzle out over the last month or so.

Wednesday 6pm: Rotherham v Middlesbrough
Sky Sports Football

Boro are 11th in The Championship with 57 points but they’ve lost four of their last five, drawing the other one. Rotherham have won and drawn one while losing the other three over the same timeframe.

With Rotherham’s form deserting them again and Middlesbrough being out of sorts this is a tricky match to call in terms of a result. Instead, I’m siding with Both Teams To Score? No. This has landed in six of Rotherham’s last seven games and four of the away side’s last seven.

6pm: Millwall v Bournemouth – Bournemouth to Win

Bournemouth are the form side in The Championship and they’ll be expecting to maintain their good run at Millwall. The Cherries have won six on the bounce including the impressive 3-1 dismantling of champions-elect Norwich on Saturday. They’re 5th in the second tier and look nailed on for a playoff spot with 7th placed Reading seven points behind with just four games left to play.

6pm: Millwall v Bournemouth
Sky Sports Red Button

For Millwall, they’re 9th and have realistically no chance of sneaking into the top six with a 12 point gap to make up coming into this round of fixtures. It all means that Bournemouth are going to be well up for this one as they look to keep their incredible momentum rolling into the post season. Millwall are a decent side but Bournemouth should be too good and the away win in this fixture is a must for any midweek accas you’re lining up.

7.45pm: Huddersfield v Barnsley – Barnsley to Win

Barnsley have been the feel-good story of The Championship this season and they have live hopes of a shot at promotion through the playoffs. They needed a great escape to stay in the second tier last term. It would be equally remarkable if they were to leave this division through the sunroof this time around. Next in their way is 20th placed Huddersfield who, despite being just two places above the drop zone, look pretty safe with four left to play.

7.45pm: Huddersfield v Barnsley
Sky Sports Red Button

They’re eight points clear of Rotherham in the final relegation spot but The Millers have two games in hand over them. This looks to be a great chance for Barnsley to take a big step towards cementing a top-six spot. They’re in that precious 6th spot with a four point cushion to Reading in 7th. They badly need the three points here and after some slightly shaky form I’m backing Barnsley to win.
