Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson has cooked up a top treble for Sunday’s biggest games across the FA Cup and Premier League. The first leg comes from Arsenal’s clash with Fulham and then it’s off to Old Trafford where Manchester United host Burnley.
To round off our PP News enhanced treble, Thommo’s relying on his NAP of the day, Leicester to beat Southampton within in the 90 minutes at Wembley in the second FA Cup semi final of the weekend. Here’s Thommo with his
digs tips for Sunday.
Thommo’s Sunday treble
We’ve got the poor relations to the Champions League, we’ve got the Europa League clubs, you know the John Player trophy that goes on on a Thursday night at the moment, playing on Sunday! You’ve got Arsenal and you’ve got Manchester United who obviously have to play on the Sunday.
Manchester United to beat Burnley at home is in my Sunday treble, I do have Arsenal to beat Fulham at The Emirates as well and, as I’ll explain, my NAP is Leicester to beat Southampton in the FA Cup semi final.
If you’ve seen Southampton of late, like last week against West Brom, getting beat 3-0 it was absolutely diabolical. So this, for me, on Sunday is the NAP of the day. I know Leicester have lost the last two, but a few players have stepped out of line with Covid and all that.
They should be back this week to strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ side so, if Leicester can make it, it will be their first FA Cup final in 52 years. These two teams, you look at them and say, ‘Well, Leicester haven’t won in two and The Saints have had an awful time’. But it would be a massive shock if this didn’t go Leicester’s way.
