Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson has returned once again with a top treble for Saturday’s action. Chelsea and Manchester City battle it out for a place in the FA Cup final at 5.30pm in what looks to be the game of the day.

He’s also been studying the Premier League form and has picked you a winner in Newcastle v West Ham at 12.30pm and Wolves v Sheffield United at 8.15pm. But which way is he going?

Thommo’s Saturday Treble

David Moyes must be absolutely beside himself with what’s going on at West Ham. It’s wonderful. In 2021, in 15 Premier League games, West Ham have won 10. 10! It’s incredible. They’ve lost only three of their last 17 Premier League games.

We are talking about West Ham here. It’s blowing my mind.

It’s a fantastic turnaround for West Ham United. I think this is one of the NAPs of the weekend because West Ham are in great form.

Manchester City, they came back from 1-0 down to beat Borussia Dortmund but got beat against Leeds United last time – I don’t know how the heck that happened. That tells me they have a little bit of something over them.

You look at their leading goal scorer, it’s still Ilkay Gundogan with 16. Phil Foden now has 13 goals. You’ve got Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling also on 13 but there’s no Sergio Aguero in there and if your midfield players are chipping in that’s how you win trophies.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

But City have son seven of the last nine meetings against Chelsea. For me, this is all pointing towards Manchester City to Win again.

I have a treble to try and get some value for everybody and one that’s caught my eye is Wolves playing Sheffield United. For obvious reasons you have to back Wolves to Win here.
