FA Cup winner, Liverpool legend, Paddy Power ambassador and all-round good egg Phil Thompson is back to guide you through the second FA Cup semi final this weekend. Leicester face Southampton with both sides searching for a bit of form and where better to rediscover it than at Wembley?
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Thommo thinks the class will tell and that is would be a big shock if Saints were to beat Leicester. But what’s he tipping up on Sunday? Take it away, Thommo.
Sunday 18:30 Leicester v Southampton
This is two teams who are just a little bit out of form. Well, Leicester a little bit. Southampton a lot out of form! Southampton have lost 10 of their last 15 which is jut absolutely astonishing.
Do you know something? They’ve not conceded in their FA Cup run this season, Southampton. That’s quite incredible.
Sunday 6.30pm: Leicester v Southampton
BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate
If you’ve seen Southampton of late, like last week against West Brom, getting beat 3-0 it was absolutely diabolical. So this, for me, on Sunday is the NAP of the day. I know Leicester have lost the last two, but a few players have stepped out of line with Covid and all that.
They should be back this week to strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ side so, if Leicester can make it, it will be their first FA Cup final in 52 years. These two teams, you look at them and say, ‘Well, Leicester haven’t won in two and The Saints have had an awful time’. But it would be a massive shock if this didn’t go Leicester’s way.
THOMMO’S TIPS: I think this is going to be a Leicester victory and I’ll go 2-0 to Leicester here. I do think Jamie Vardy will Score Anytime and, I can’t believe how many goals he’s scored recently, Kelechi Iheanacho to Score Anytime and get the other one.
Thommo’s Tips:
Leicester to win 2-0
Jamie Vardy to Score Anytime
Kelechi Iheanacho to Score Anytime
