Arsenal v Slavia Prague – Both Teams To Score

When Slavia Prague last travelled to London to play Arsenal, it didn’t end well for the Czech champions. A 7-0 trouncing came their way that October night in 2007 so they’ll be hoping for a more positive result this time around. And, the way Arsenal are playing at present, they might even fancy their chances of an away win.

Slavia head into Thursday’s fixture with another domestic title at their mercy and what’s been impressive about their form in the Czech First League is that they’re unbeaten in their 25 games this season, winning 20 of those matches and averaging nearly three goals per game. As for their form in the Europa League, that hasn’t been too bad either.

They booked their place in the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win away to Rangers in Ibrox and were full value for that win. And given that prior to that they knocked out Leicester City with a 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium, they must be great value to get a goal at the very least at the Emirates against an Arsenal side who have conceded in each of their last 13 matches.

On the contrary, The Gunners should be good for a goal having found their scoring boots against Olympiakos and Benfica in the previous rounds. They were very much out of sorts against Liverpool on Saturday but that might have given them the wake-up call that they needed ahead of this game and considering that they’re odds-on to win this match, getting on the scoresheet should be well within their grasp with Both Teams To Score here.

Ajax v Roma – Both Teams To Score

There’s no doubting that this clash in the Johan Cruyff Arena is the game of the night in the Europa League and, judging by both teams’ form in the competition so far, we should be expecting plenty of goals. Ajax head into this match in scintillating form and not only have they won their last seven games in all competitions but they’re unbeaten since December 9th, which takes in their last 22 games in total.

And given that there isn’t a 0-0 in that period, that means they’ve also scored in those 22 matches. They warmed up for Thursday night’s clash with a stellar 2-1 win away to Heerenveen, after falling behind, and they’ve scored at least two goals in each of their last seven games too.

BT Sport 3

Judging on their recent form, it’s nearly impossible to see them not scoring here. Roma head into this clash in mixed form and while they won’t be challenging for Serie A honours, their Europa League form in 2021 has been very solid.

Given that they’ve won on the road against Braga and Shakhtar, they’ll fancy their chances of getting something out of this first leg and with Edin Dzeko, Borja Mayoral and Stephan El Shaarawy all finding the net of late, it’s hard to see them not registering an away goal at the very least. We’re on Both Teams to Score again in this one.

Dinamo Zagreb v Villarreal – Both Teams To Score

It might be the least enticing Quarter-Final for neutrals, but for both sides there’s no doubting that they will already have one eye on a semi-final booking. The betting suggests that this could be the closest of Thursday’s quartet of Europa League games and it’s a game which should create plenty of goal chances too.

Spurs fans won’t need reminding how Dinamo Zagreb got this far but in all fairness, they were worthy winners against Jose Mourinho’s men and probably should have finished the job in normal time. Since then, they’re unbeaten in the Croatian League and in fact, other than their first leg defeat at White Hart Lane, they haven’t been defeated in any of their 12 matches since late January and have scored plenty of goals in that period too.

And in Mislav Orsic, the hat-trick hero against Spurs who’s scored six goals in his last six starts, they offer a massive threat when going forward. Villarreal are favourites to win this opening leg and having won their last five games on the bounce, it’s no surprise to see why.

Their away form has been particularly impressive of late too, scoring in their last seven games on the road, and in striker Gerard Moreno, they have got a huge advantage. Six goals in his last three starts is pretty emphatic, including a hat-trick at the weekend, and he’ll be keen to keep up that red-hot scoring spree here as Both Teams Score.

Granada v Manchester United – Both Teams To Score

Manchester United fans couldn’t have been any happier when they learned of the Red Devils’ Quarter-Final opponents and, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are warm order favourites to progress to the last four, the Norwegian gaffer will be keen to put this tie to bed in the first leg. While far from their best, United’s battling qualities in overcoming Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday will have pleased Solskjaer and, having won at the San Siro and the Etihad in recent weeks, the United manager will know that his troops are well capable of putting this tie beyond the Spanish side tonight.

It will all depend on which Manchester United turn up of course but having won both of their away games in the Europa League already, as well as beating PSG in Paris in the Champions League back in October, it’s probably safe to say that Utd will be in ruthless form in Spain. As for the home side, they will know that if they have any chance to progress, then a victory here is essential.

Thursday 8pm: Granada v Manchester United
BT Sport 2

Their form in La Liga has been average, to say the least, but they are well capable of big performances as they showed when knocking out Napoli earlier in the competition. And when they hosted both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid earlier in the year, they managed to find the net in each game and put three past Ronald Koeman’s men in early February.

United’s leaky defence will mean that Granada have a great chance of scoring and with so much relying on this opening leg, there’s an excellent chance of the Spanish side finding the back of the net. I like the looks of Both Teams to Score again in this tie.
