8pm: Arsenal v Slavia Prague

I think we saw at the weekend that there’s two Arsenals. There’s the Arsenal of Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney and when they don’t play Arsenal are a different team.

Without them they’re very, very stagnant and incredibly boring to watch as that performance against Liverpool emphasised. It looks like Tierney will be out for a couple of weeks and will probably miss both legs here. Smith-Rowe and Saka face late fitness tests so I think you have to be concerned here even though Slavia are missing a couple of players themselves.

Thursday 8pm: Arsenal v Slavia Prague
BT Sport 1

Slavia have shown in this competition that they are solid opposition. They’ve already knocked out Leicester and – beating Rangers might not sound like much – but Rangers actually have a very good record in the Europa League. Knocking them out like they did was a reasonable achievement.

Given all that I think Arsenal are a little bit short here and I’d be looking towards Slavia Prague Double Chance Win/Draw here or even, if you’re feeling more ambitious, Slavia Prague to qualify.

8pm: Granada v Man Utd

I think we might see a repeat of the Real Sociedad tie that Manchester United had earlier in the Europa League where they were just a couple of levels above their opposition. Granada sit 9th in La Liga and, looking at the stats, no team in La Liga has conceded more goals than Granada.

Thursday 8pm: Granada v Manchester United
BT Sport 2

Given that, I think it’s very, very hard to see them keeping out the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani. United’s price to win the match isn’t that an attractive betting proposition, so I’d prefer to back United to have Over 1.5 Goals. I can see United winning two or three one here and setting up a relatively comfortable home tie to qualify for the semi finals.

Emmet’s tips for Thursday

8pm: Arsenal v Slavia Prague
Slavia Prague Win/Draw Double Chance
Slavia Prague to Qualify

8pm: Granada v Man Utd
Man United to Score Over 1.5 Goals
