Albania v England

17:00 Sunday- Albania v England
ITV 1/Virgin Media 2

Albania, funnily enough, are coming into this in better form than England having won four of their last five, whereas England have only won three out of the last five. That said, Albania have played lesser opposition in those matches.

Gareth Southgate has a record of 30 wins from 50 matches so far which is pretty good all things considered. They tend to beat the small teams but they tend to underperform against the bigger teams when it counts, which would be a concern going into the Euro’s this summer.

England will just want to get in here and get the win and get home on Sunday. England on the half-time/full-time market looks interesting. I would avoid the handicap in this one. England are long odds-on to win the game, but I think if they take the lead early, Southgate will want to sure-up that lead and just take the victory.

The main man for England right now for me is Raheem Sterling. He’s just turned 26 and is the main one to watch out for in the summer. He’s just grabbed his 150th career goal, but only has 14 for England. However, the majority of those have come in more recent times. He will do for me anytime on Sunday evening.

19:45 Sunday – Romania v Germany
Sky Sports Premier League

Germany, as expected, are pretty short in the betting here. However, they could be included in your Sunday Acca. Joshua Kimmich, who played against Iceland, is back fit which is a big positive. They still have issues at the back though, having famously conceded six against Spain not too long ago.

Romania scored three the other night so they have been amongst the goals themselves. Both Teams to Score looks a good bet here. As mentioned Germany have had their defensive issues lately, therefore we can expect to see both hit the net on Sunday.

Ilkay Gundogan is on fire for both club and country this season. He’s got 18 goals in his last 40 games all told, and scored against Iceland the other night with a great effort. However, at the prices Serge Gnabry looks a play. He also looks a good bet for top goalscorer in the Euro’s this Summer.
