Manchester United take on AC Milan on Thursday night in the Last 16 of the Europa League. United come into the clash in better form but Milan are good enough to cause an upset. Let’s have a look for value with a four-legged Bet Builder.

United will still be bouncing after their 0-2 victory over Man City at the Etihad over the weekend and are strong favourites here. Milan have been dropping points of late but they showed immense character against Udinese a week ago getting a 1-1 in the dying minutes to keep their Serie A dreams alive and beat Verona 0-2 over the weekend as well.
United are coming off three straight away matches and no doubt will be eager to continue their form that saw them beating Man City over the weekend.
Their home form hasn’t exactly been great though, they’ve drawn three (winning one in ET) and won two of their last five at Old Trafford while Milan have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five on the road.
We should see both teams scoring here, United, in the Premier League, are scoring 2.15 and conceding 1.46 goals per match while Milan have been scoring 1.92 and conceding 0.85 on their league travels. Our first pick is Both Teams to Score.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Score Anytime
At the time of writing the latest news is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shaken off a muscle injury and will feature against his former employers here. And nobody loves a goal against his old team quite like Zlatan. Although it must be said that he didn’t leave United in a huff which can’t be said for most of his exits.
Anyway, the big lad had been keeping Milan on top of the Serie table for much of this season and when the injuries came they had their wobble. He has 14 goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season with a further one each in the Coppa Italia and the Europa League. In a battle between Zlatan and the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof you know there’s only going to be one winner.
Half-time Draw
Manchester United have drawn the first half in 16 of their 28 Premier League games, the highest proportion of any team in the Premier League. At Old Trafford, it’s just under half their matches at six out of 13.
Two of Milan’s last four matches have also been level at half time and looking back at their last few Europa League matches we can also see that three out of their last five in the competition have seen halftime draws. Those stats would indicate there’s a good chance of that happening here again so it’s making our list of picks.
Over 2.5 Goals
As mentioned above both teams are in pretty robust goal-scoring form in their home and away matches, scoring 2.15 and 1.92 goals respectively in their league home/away matches. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in five of United’s last seven home matches at Old Trafford and landed in four out of Milan’s last six on their travels.
There’s obviously plenty to play for here United will want to take advantage of the first match being at home while Milan won’t want to leave England without at least an away goal so we’re adding Over 2.5 goals to our Bet Builder.
