Juventus welcome Porto to Turin on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie. The Old Lady are 1-2 down to the Portuguese side on aggregate and having that away goal could prove to be vital at full time here.

The home side are massive favourites here, but we want to find a value-busting Bet Builder for you. Let’s have a look at what we’ve found.

20:00 Tuesday – Juventus v Porto
BT Sport 2

Over 2.5 Goals

Juventus were 3-1 winners over Lazio in the league over the weekend. Surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t make the starting XI, although he did come on in the second half. The Portuguese legend was said to be suffering from fatigue and no doubt manager Andrea Pirlo will want him to be firing on all cylinders here.

Four out of Juventus’ six most recent matches have seen Over 2.5 goals occurring, while it has also landed in four of their six most recent home matches. Looking at just their Champions League form, seven of their last nine at home in the competition have seen Overs coming in.

With regards to Porto, three out of their last four fixtures have seen Overs. In the Champions League, however, of their last eight on the road, only four have seen Overs. But, they got on the scoresheet at least once in seven of those eight games. Obviously both teams are going to be going for this and we should see a few goals here.

Over 0.5 First Half Juventus Goals

The Old Lady are going to have to come out strongly here and they have an incredibly good track record of first half goals in the competition. Over those eight home Champion League matches mentioned above, they scored a first half goal in seven of them. It’s worth mentioning too that Ronaldo got four of them.

We can see from their home form in the Serie A too that they’ve scored 10 first half goals over their 13 home matches and over their seven most recent home matches in all competition, they’ve netted seven first half goals. The odds aren’t huge but we can see the Old Lady striking first here.

Over 0.5 Second Half Porto Goals

The Allianz Stadium has a reputation as being one of the toughest places in European football to get a result and this is justifiable; over their last 29 home matches in the Champions League they’ve only lost six times. They’ve been traditionally known too for keeping loads of clean sheets at home, but this season things have somewhat changed.

In the league they only kept one clean sheet over their opening eight fixtures and while their defence at home has improved of late, of their last eight home Champions League matches, they’ve only kept their opponents scoreless on three occasions.

Looking at Porto’s away form, they’ve only been kept scoreless in one of their last 15 away matches in all competitions and in the Champions League, they have scored in all but two of their last 10 away matches in the tournament.

From those eight matches they scored in, they scored at least one second half goals in seven of them. Match that with a less-than-perfect Juventus defence, and we’re getting pretty generous odds on the away side to get one in the second half here.

Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus Parma Serie A December 19. 2020

Correct Score: 3-1

For both teams here this could be the turning points of their seasons. Juventus are closing in on Inter at the top of the table, but it might be too late to catch them and while they’re still in the Coppa Italia, the Champions League is the one that’s been eluding them for quite a long time now.

Not many people will fancy Porto’s chances here, but with them being 10 points behind a rampant Sporting in the league, they too will be desperate to get through.

However, as mentioned above, Juve’s home record in the competition is immense and they have the experience and the superior players here to get through on the night. Add a rested Cristiano Ronaldo into the mix – a former Sporting player to boot – and we should be seeing The Old Lady qualify here.

Juventus v Porto tips summary:

Over 2.5 Goals
Over 0.5 First Half Juventus Goals
Over 0.5 Second Half Porto Goals
Correct Score: 3-1
