Wednesday night is chock-full with tons of football from all across Europe and we’ve found a fiery four-fold Acca from games in the Scottish Premiership, the German DFB Pokal as well as Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1. Let’s have a look, then, at what we’ve picked.
6pm: Livingston vs Rangers – Rangers to Win & BTTS
Livingston, now winless over their last four fixtures, welcome a rampant Rangers to Almondvale Stadium on Wednesday evening. The home side’s league form at home is a bit better, they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five in the Premiership on home turf while Rangers, well, Rangers just seem to be getting better. They’ve won four of their last five overall and away from home in the league have won nine of their last 11, drawing the other two.
Ranger’s record of clean sheets is immense, they’ve conceded just two league goals at home this season but have conceded seven in 15 on their league travels. Livingston though are averaging 1.14 goals per home match and have scored at least one in five of their last seven at home. Rangers have only kept one clean sheet over their last five away matches in all competitions and there’s some value to be had in backing Rangers to win here and Both Teams to Score.
7.45pm: RB Leipzig vs Wolfsburg – BTTS No Draw
RB Leipzig can take a huge step towards landing their first major trophy in their history should they overcome Wolfsburg here in their DFB Pokal match. The Bulls are just two points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich as well and could well land a double this season if Bayern slip up again.
Regardless of that Leipzig are a decent price to win here and really of the teams that are left only Wolfsburg here and Borussia Dortmund, should they draw them, stand in their way of their first major award. That really should be all the motivation they need.
The home side have won four out of their last five home matches, losing one while Wolfsburg are in similarly good form, also having won four of their last five away matches. This should be a real ding-dong match as both teams are in mighty form and scoring plenty of goals. Add to this it’s a cup match where the winner will have a great shot at landing the trophy and we think there’s value in Both Teams to Score No Draw here.
7.45pm: AC Milan vs Udinese – AC Milan to Win
Milan aren’t giving up on the Serie A just yet, they’ve now four points behind Inter at the top of the table and with them not playing until Thursday, Milan can heap the pressure on them with a home win here. However, Milan have won just two of their last five Serie A matches at the San Siro and need to get their act together here.
They face an Udinese side that have won just one of their last five away league matches, drawing two and losing two and have only beaten Milan in one out of their last six attempts at the San Siro. With that kind of form we have to go with the home side here. AC Milan to Win is the bet.
8pm: Lille vs Marseille – Lille to Win
It’s still a three-way horse race at the top of France’s Ligue 1 with Lille two points ahead of PSG in second and three ahead of Lyon in third. You wouldn’t normally expect Marseille to try and do PSG a favour on any occasion but with things in absolute turmoil off the pitch they can get themselves back into the European places with the win and attract some positive press for a change.
Lille’s home form though has taken a dip, they’ve drawn both of their most recent matches and against Marseille at home they’ve only won one of their last five meetings, losing three and drawing one. Marseille’s away form isn’t good though, they’ve only won one of their last eight on their travels, losing three and drawing four. Lille’s overall Ligue 1 form is good though, they’ve won seven of their last nine, drawing two and against this Marseille side who can’t even buy a win (and they have a history there) they should come out on top. Back Lille to Win.
