Our top tipster Andrew Cunneen has picked out his punts for Saturday's late one.

There isn’t a sporting person in Britain or Ireland that wouldn’t pay several times over the appropriate amount to be able to attend live football again.

The B-grade pies; the smelly old fella who sits behind you spouting nonsense about players that aren’t even on the pitch; the sound of the net invariably rippling in favour of the opposition; the mediocre tactical analysis someone provides despite having spent most of the first half waiting to use the loo.

And yet, I’m 90% certain that you’d have to think twice about going to Newcastle and Wolves for free. Still, from the confines of your sofa on a cold Saturday evening, it does feel like the type of thing you can have on in the background as you ponder Uber Eats for an hour and a half before you pick that same Indian takeaway again – the one you’ve gotten every single weekend for the last nine years.

But is that Madras the spiciest thing on offer? With Callum Wilson out injured, the answer is an unfortunate yes. Here’s a Bet Builder to really get you in the mood for a night in.

Newcastle to Win

The composition of Newcastle misery is more based around the fact that they want to complain but can never quite fall into full meltdown. Right at that last moment when you’re ready to let loose and unwind on the club, Steve Bruce pulls a result out of thin air and you remain happy for the next few days.

In so many ways, it’s worse than being downright terrible. There are lots of Newcastle fans saying this is the least they’ve enjoyed a season in as long as they can remember – and they’re not even in the bottom three. It really is the hope that kills you – or at least denies you the therapy of being relentlessly upset.

Over 2.5 Goals

At least one side has scored twice in each of Newcastle’s last eight games in the Premier League and I feel like this trend continues here. Newcastle went through a phase of trying to be defensively sound, but the penny finally dropped with Steve Bruce that, if you can’t defend, you shouldn’t try in the first place.

Losing Callum Wilson is a blow to their attacking hopes, but they have a genuine spark that I’ll get to now.

Allan Saint-Maximin to Have 3 or More Shots

What a player this fella is. And I know sometimes he looks like one of those gimmicky footballers that your local amateur side signs because he comes from a different country and can dribble the odd time – but he’s actually quite unique and unpredictable.

Over the last few games, I believe he’s earned his spot in this side and can now stake a claim to leave Tyneside as quickly as possible.

Pedro Neto to Have 3 or More Shots

I can feel the frustration emanating from Wolves as they struggle to beat Newcastle after keeping a clean sheet against an otherwise free-scoring Leeds outfit. But they’re the breaks sometimes.

Neto isn’t the most refined player I’ve ever seen but he does tend to take matters into his own hands and he might well unleash that fury on Newcastle to varying degrees of success on Saturday night.
