It’s a good clash of styles this one. We have the proactive Thomas Tuchel against the more reactive Diego Simeone. Since arriving at Chelsea, Tuchel has improved their defence and they’ve conceded just three goals in the Premier League.
Chelsea’s attack is a working progress with Timo Werner yet to convince and Kai Havertz struggling with injuries. It’s likely to be a cagey game and the two teams will employ similar systems.
I fancy Chelsea in the corners markets here though. Since Tuchel arrived, Chelsea are averaging eight corners a game. They press teams high and force them back into their own half. Chelsea to have over 5.5 corners is a solid bet.
Bayern aren’t quite the dominant team we saw last season. They’ve struggled with injuries and they’ve failed to win their last two Bundesliga games.
However, I’m not sure Lazio are good enough to expose Bayern’s flaws. I can see Bayern raising their level and having too much for them. With Bayern’s iffy defensive record, I’m backing the German side to win but BTTS.

Borussia Monchengladbach have struggled for form lately and they haven’t won in their last five matches. Given how good City are at the moment, it’s hard to see Monchengladbach even being competitive here.
I fancy Man City to win to nil. City’s defensive record is superb and the likes of Ruben Dias and John Stones have been brilliant. City will be focused here and they know they have a great chance to win the Champions League this season.
Atlanta have drifted in recently, partly because of Real’s indifferent form but it’s also down to their injury worries. Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard and Federico Valverde are all out for Real.
It’s a tough game to call as Atlanta have been hit and miss recently so I’m not sure they should be as short as they are! More than any other team in Europe, Atalanta push their wing-backs high up the pitch. That’s seen Robin Gosens impress, with the German netting seven league goals this season.
I can see him getting chances against Real, with their wide players not too keen on tracking back. Gosens to score anytime looks a good bet.
