On Sunday we have some absolute belters lined up and it’s looking like it’s going to be a mighty day of football. We’ve found a value-busting Acca from the Scottish Premiership, Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1, so let’s have a look at where Europe’s best bets lie on Sunday.
3pm: Rangers vs Dundee Utd – Rangers to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0
There’s very few plaudits we can add to how Ranger’s season has been going but a decent illustration is a recent home statistic, they’ve now gone five home league matches without conceding a goal. They’ve still only conceded a single goal at home in the league all season.
Dundee United have scored just eight goals over their 14 away league matches this season. The home side might be a wee bit tired following their 3-4 win away to Antwerp in the Europa League during the week but they should have plenty of fuel left in the tank to win here. We’re going with Rangers to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 here.
5pm: Atalanta vs Napoli – Atlanta to Win & BTTS
Atalanta are pretty solid favourites here but their form of two wins, two draws and a loss doesn’t look the best. Their home league form is the same. Napoli are in bad shape though, they’ve won just one of their last five in all competitions, have won two of their last five on the road in the league, winning the other three, and have an injury list as long as a wet Sunday.
Atalanta have won three of the last five meetings between the sides at the Stadio di Bergamo with Napoli winning two. Goals are usually the way to go when these teams are involved, indeed Atalanta are averaging 2.36 goals per home Serie A match while Napoli are averaging 1.70 on their league travels. Even with many of their first-teamers missing, Napoli are still scoring plenty but Atalanta’s overall form is edging it here for us. Atlanta to Win and Both Teams to Score is where the value is here.
7.30pm: Ross County vs Celtic – Celtic to Win & BTTS
Ross County’s home form is atrocious, they’ve won just one of their last 13 at Victoria Park and have only beaten Celtic two times over their last 14 meetings there. Celtic’s form has vastly improved since their blip, they’re now unbeaten over their last nine matches and have won all five of their most recent matches.
Both Teams to Score has landed in three out of Ross’ four most recent home league matches and in two out of Celtic’s four most recent away league games and has also landed in four of the last seven meetings here. There’s very little doubt Celtic will win but with a clean sheets record that has seen them keep just three over their last nine away league matches Ross County should be good for one here. We’re backing Celtic to Win & BTTS here as well.
8pm: PSG vs Monaco – Kylian Mbappe to Score Anytime
Both of these teams come into the match in great form. PSG have won nine out of their last 10 matches while Monaco have won nine of their last 11. Earlier in the day, Lille face Lorient and should they mess things up there, although they probably won’t, PSG can take top spot with a win. There’s plenty to play for for Monaco too though, should they take the three points they can close the gap with PSG above them to just two points.
The problem for Monaco here is that their record at the Parc des Princes is pretty awful. Over their last seven visits there in all competitions they’ve won none and PSG have won five. Over those seven meetings Over 2.5 goals landed six times while BTTS occurred four.
With two high-scoring teams though the odds for goals and BTTS aren’t exactly screaming value. Instead we want to look at PSG’s starman, Kylian Mbappe. He was outstanding away to Barcelona midweek and his record against his former club is very impressive with seven goals in seven matches. We’re going with Mbappe to Score Anytime.
