All round good egg, Liverpool legend and Paddy Power football ambassador Phil Thompson has teamed up with PPTV to offer up his best bets for West Brom v Manchester United and Arsenal’s trip to Leeds. Both are intriguing for very different reasons and Thommo’s stared deep into his crystal ball to try and bring you some more weekend winners.

2pm: West Brom v Manchester United

I think this will be a comfortable Manchester United victory. West Brom are extremely poor and are 11 points from safety. I can’t really see them damaging Manchester United in any way whatsoever.

They’ve got just 12 points on the board and lost 2-0 to Spurs and that could have been more. I think this is all about Manchester United because, what do they actually do?

Sunday 2pm: West Brom v Manchester United
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Is it the game that David de Gea loses his spot to Dean Henderson? It could be. The 3-3 against Everton was not great but, having said that, it’s away. Manchester United, they are the away masters. They might stick by De Gea considering that this will be a relatively easy game.

When you’ve lost just one of 17 Premier League games. I don’t know. I think de Gea is one of the big question marks over this game but this is a comfortable Manchester United victory.

One thing West Brom don’t want it so concede early because Manchester United, if they do smell blood, they will go for it.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for Manchester United to Win to Nil but I think they will probably declare at three. I fancy Marcus Rashford to Score 2 Goals or More in this one. That’s the big one for me, that’s where there is money.

4.30pm: Arsenal v Leeds

This is one of the all-time classic fixtures. When I saw it in the list for this weekend it just made me think this is a really good weekend of Premier League football. Arsenal v Leeds does have something about it.

I actually went for Crystal Palace to beat Leeds last Monday but they were poor. I thought Raphinha was absolutely outstanding in the game and the Elland Road pitch was an absolute mess. I think Leeds got to grips with it better.

Sunday 4.30pm: Arsenal v Leeds
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

It was a great win and everybody afterwards was saying, ‘Patrick Bamford for England!’ That was his 100th goal but I just don’t think he’s ready, I think there’s a few players ahead of him.

Arsenal will be smarting from getting beat at Aston Villa, they really will be. They’ve lost 10 Premier League games this year, Arsenal, which has been absolutely devastating for them. This has got the makings of a good game. I think there will be goals in it, I really do.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for a high scoring 3-2 win for Arsenal. I think Alexandre Lacazette will play up front and I’m going with Lacazette and Bamford both to Score Anytime.
