After a long few weeks for many a Liverpool fan, they have finally got their shooting boots on again and have the defence of their Premier League title back on track. Their first half against Tottenham was looking like the new Liverpool, building up constant attacks but not finding that final breakthrough.
But then, just on the stroke of half time, they broke their goalless drought which stretched back to the 27th of December and didn’t look back. In the second half they came out with a new lease of life and all of a sudden they were finding the back of the net with ease. With this confidence back, no doubt West Ham are going to have a lot to deal with this coming weekend. Here’s your big-value Bet Builder.
Sunday 4.30pm: West Ham v Liverpool
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Liverpool To Win
I find it hard seeing anything but a Liverpool Win in this clash come Sunday. I feel like all Liverpool needed was that one win to get them going again and after securing that against Tottenham, I see them being hard to stop.
The game was finished by the 65th minute on Thursday so, for a game that was hyped to be a tough battle, Liverpool had all the work done early. In terms of fatigue, I don’t see that having any impact on this game.
Although West Ham are having a good run of things, Liverpool have always had an edge over them and I don’t see that changing with them winning seven out of the last eight clashes between the two sides.
Both Teams To Score
Out of my four bets, I have no doubt that this is one is by far the most confident pick. Now that Liverpool can score again, I don’t see them having an issue putting a few past West Ham.
I can also see West Ham getting plenty of scoring opportunities themselves. This is a Liverpool defence that will be far from their strongest pairing and it seems to be changing week in week out for a number of reasons.
Their only first-choice defender available on Thursday, Joel Matip, went off at half time which is a worrying sign ahead of this weekend. You can expect Liverpool to net and West Ham will have chances so Both Teams To Score is a good bet here.

Tomas Soucek 1+ Shot on Target
With the idea of West Ham having plenty of chances at the Liverpool end, I can see them having to attempt a couple of long range strikes to try get that goal. Tomas Soucek has been a standout player for the Hammers this season and after scoring two goals during the week against Crystal Palace, he’s coming here in high confidence and will be letting a few efforts fly come Sunday so we can expect Tomas Soucek To Have 1+ Shot on Target.
Declan Rice to be booked
I feel like Declan Rice will have his work cut out for him this weekend in trying to stop that lethal Liverpool counter attack they’re grown to be so effective with. I can see many moments in the match where West Ham are scrambling back to defend and, with Rice playing in the DCM position this year, he’ll be the main man to rely on stopping that quick counter.
With that in mind, I see him being involved in a few cynical challenges so, at the price, Declan Rice to be booked is definitely a bet worth getting on.
