Southampton v Arsenal

I just fancied Southampton at the weekend and they went on to do me proud. I can see the reverse here, though. They’re finding it difficult to score goals. Danny Ings’ goal against Liverpool was the last one that they’ve score in the last five Premier League games.

Southampton are quite mean at the back, they’ve got eight clean sheets in 10 games in all comps. This is a really difficult one to call. I’m going for Arsenal to edge it.

Tuesday 8.15pm: Southampton v Arsenal
BT Sport 1

They will be hurting after losing to Southampton in the FA Cup and when you have these back-to-back games it normally goes that way. I think Arsenal will be fired up. They’re unbeaten in five in the Premier League with clean sheets in the last four of those.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s two against Newcastle was as many as he’s scored all season but did you see the smile on his face? To me they’re getting that little bit of buzz back.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for the reverse of the weekend and I’m going for an Arsenal victory with Both Teams To Score, 2-1. I think Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Ings will both Score Anytime. It’ll be tight.

West Brom v Man City

The reverse fixture between these two teams was Slaven Bilic’s last game in charge. They’ve brought Sam Allardyce in, you obviously know what’s going to happen. He’s going to park three busses against Manchester City. That’s what Sam does, he makes no bones about it either. They’ve won just one of the last nine in the Premier League, West Brom. That’s why they’re so low.

They’ve got the worst defence. They’ve conceded 49 goals, that’s nine more than anyone else so it’s awful. They’re the joint-lowest home scorers on just five with Burnley so none of that says much for them. Especially with Manchester City sorting out their defence. Ruben Dias and John Stones look great. Whether Pep looks at this game and thinks, ‘Yeah I can make a lot of changes for this and we’ll still do it.’

Tuesday 8.15pm: West Brom v Man City
BT Sport 2

They’re unbeaten in 17 and they’ve won 14 of them. You don’t want to start messing about with the team at this stage, for me anyway. They’ve only conceded four goals in 17 games in all competitions.

City can go top tonight and if they do it they will be the ninth team this season to go top of the Premier League which is quite astonishing! I think City will win easily tonight.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for 4-1 to Manchester City, I think West Brom will score because of the set pieces. I also think Raheem Sterling will Score 2 Goals Or More.
