All five of our matches for Sunday’s Euro Acca involve teams fighting it out for their respective league championships. We’re off to Germany first where table toppers Bayern Munich are away to relegation-fodder, Schalke.

Then to Spain where Elche host a Barcelona side who are edging their way back into the title race. Next it’s Turkey where leaders Besiktas can extend their lead to five points with a win.

St Etienne entertain a Lyon side who must win to get back into the Ligue 1 title race and finally to La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid who are taking on Valencia. Let’s look for some value in the markets, then.

14.30: Schalke vs Bayern Munich – Schalke (+2)

Schalke are doomed and Bayern can heap even more misery on them here. The home side have won just one of their last 33 Bundesliga matches. Over the same period, Bayern have lost just two. Over their 10 most recent league and cup visits to Schalke Bayern have won eight, drawing one and losing one.

The value here though, is in opposing the Handicap. Bayern would have to beat Schalke by three goals for them to win it and Schalke have only lost by three goals in two of their last 10 home Bundesliga home matches and Bayern have only beaten this handicap in two out of 10 previous away league matches. We’re going with Schalke (+2) here.

15.15: Elche vs Barcelona – Both Teams to Score: No

Elche’s days in La Liga are starting to look numbered. They’ve now gone 12 league matches without a win and face a Barcelona side who have won six of their last eight in the league. The sides haven’t met at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero since 2015, when Barcleona put 10 goals past them over a league and cup meeting.

The market is siding with BTTS: Yes here, but there’s value on the other side of the book. Elche are averaging under a goal per home league match, 0.89 and Barca are conceding 0.78 on their league travels. Add to this the fact that Barcelona have kept three clean sheets over their five most recent away matches and the odds on BTTS: No are far more appealing.

16.00 Besiktas vs Goztepe – Besiktas to Win & Over 2.5 goals

Besiktas can take a very important step towards landing their 16th Super Lig title with a home win here and put some more light between themselves and Fenerbahce in second. They’re on a great run of late, winning 13 of their last 15 league matches and face a Goztepe side who have only won three of their last 15 on the road in the league.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in five out of six recent home Besiktas matches and in three out of four recent away Goztepe matches too and both are averaging 2.56 and 1.0 goals at home and away respectively. Besiktas to Win & Over 2.5 goals is the pick here.

20.00: St Etienne vs Lyon – Both Teams to Score

Lyon now find themselves two points behind leaders PSG but are hotly fancied to take the three points against a St Etienne side who have won just one of their last 17 Ligue 1 matches. Lyon don’t have a great record at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard though. The home side have won three of the last five meetings there, Lyon have won two.

St Etienne are averaging 1.0 goals per league match and Lyon don’t keep too many clean sheets. They’re conceding 1.0 goals per match, they’re scoring 1.70. They should win against an out-of-form home side here but the value is with Both Teams To Score.

20.00 Atletico Madrid vs Valencia – Atleti to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

Atletico look nailed on to win this season’s La Liga now. They’re seven points ahead of Real Madrid with a game in hand. They’ve won eight of their nine home matches this season, conceding just two goals and scoring 2.33 goals on average at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Valencia’s away form has been pretty bad all season with just two wins from their nine matches, drawing three and losing four. Five out of Atletico’s seven recent home matches have ended 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 and with that impressive clean sheets record we’re getting some decent odds for that to occur again. Atletico to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 is the way to go here.
