Brighton may have won plaudits for their style of football, but they are now in serious danger of relegation with just two wins to their name from their opening 18 games. Graham Potter’s side have been the league’s draw specialists this season, drawing at least two more games than any other side, and have been the victims of bad luck on several occasions this season.
They lost to Manchester United after a penalty was awarded after the final whistle, while their defeat to Southampton was a result of an extremely contentious penalty. All in all, however, Brighton simply haven’t been good enough, especially in their last nine games.
Saturday 3pm: Leeds v Brighton Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
The Seagulls have failed to win in any of their last nine league games in a run stretching back to mid-November and they have picked up just five points from a possible 27. They could easily slip into the bottom three at the weekend if they lose to a Leeds team that have been wonderfully unpredictable.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been almost naively brave in their return to the Premier League, but they are currently 11 points clear of the bottom three and that must ultimately be the goal this season. Leeds appear to save their worst performances for the best teams, namely the sides that are best equipped exploit their porous defence.
They have shipped 15 goals against the current top four but conceded just three against the current bottom five, winning all four games against the basement clubs. They are clearly suited to playing inferior teams and will thrive against a Brighton team lacking confidence.
This is the perfect way for them to make up for successive 3-0 defeats to Spurs and Crawley and theyLeeds should Win with some comfort.
In many ways, West Ham and Burnley mirror one another. They both wear claret and blue, for one, while both clubs employ stereotypically British managers. They also boast almost identical form over their last seven games. West Ham have picked up nine points from their last seven league games, losing twice, while Burnley have picked up 11 points from their last seven games, again losing twice.

Their recent form also points towards a draw – West Ham are without a home win in their last three games at the London Stadium, while Burnley have won just once away from home all season. The two sides could very easily cancel each other out with a Draw in what is easily one of the least appealing games of the weekend.
