Serie A leaders AC Milan face current champions Juventus at the San Siro on Wednesday night and this match, the 175th league meeting between the sides, could have massive ramifications on where the Scuddetto ends up this season.

The away side are the favourites here, even though they are seven points behind Milan in third place and Milan have only lost one of their last 20 home Serie A matches. We’ve gone through the stats and have a Bet Builder Acca that’s heavy on value.

Both Teams to Score 2 or More Goals

This Milan side have made huge progress over the last two seasons and the good form they began cultivating last year has quite obviously carried on into this term. They’re a point ahead of Inter at the top of the Serie A table but they’re not favourites to land the title. Not yet anyway – Inter are the current favourites with Juventus the third favourites.

When these sides met last season at the beginning of August, Milan were 2-0 down at 54 minutes. Not many teams can come back from that deficit against the Old Lady but the Milan players absolutely crushed Juventus and came back to win 4-2.

Milan have scored two goals in all 17 of their most previous Serie A matches and in eight out of eight previous home matches while Juventus have scored two goals or more in four out of their last six Serie A matches and in three out of their last five away Serie A matches. We’re getting great odds here so it’s the first to go in our Bet Builder Acca.

AC Milan to Score Over 0.5 First Half Goals

Both teams have pretty good figures for FH goals in their league matches. Milan have scored 41.2 per cent of their goals in the first period of play while for Juventus it stands at 41.4 per cent. Looking at just their home and away matches though and we see that Milan are averaging 1.0 goals per FH at home while Juventus are also averaging 1.0 goals per away league match. We’re going with Milan here as their odds are above Evens and offering the best value.

Cristiano Ronaldo to Score Anytime

There’s very little additional praise that can be heaped upon Cristiano Ronaldo anymore. He’s just broken yet another record – he’s scored more goals now than Brazil’s Pele – and even though there are rumours Juventus want to get rid of him in the summer to lower their wage bill, he’s still as eager to impress and score goals as he ever was.

The Portuguese forward has a pretty decent record against Milan over his career, scoring six goals in his 12 appearances. He’s scored seven over his five most recent away matches, so we’re backing him to add at least one more to that tally here.
