Wolves and Brighton both looked a bit tired last time out as they both lost 1-0 to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively. Their opponents had an extra day’s rest in both cases and I think that was a big factor as Wolves and Brighton both tired in the second halves.

The Draw

In terms of this game, the market can’t split them and I can’t split them either. What I do in this scenario is often back the biggest price which happens to be The Draw in this case. The reason that I would suggest a Draw is that Brighton have had just one home win in 2020. We all had bad 2020s but that’s awful.

Graham Potter has said the reason they didn’t win many home games last year is that they just had too many draws which is pretty obvious!

Wolves still have Raul Jimenez injured. This season with him in the team Wolves were winning 1.7 points per game. Since he’s gone out that’s fallen off a cliff and they have taken four points out of a possible 18 which is just not good enough.

All things considered for this game I’d back backing The Draw because it’s the biggest price, really.

Neal Maupay to Score First

Jimenez is such a big loss for Wolves and there’s rumours that Diego Costa may be coming in after his contract at Atletico Madrid was terminated. That would be an excellent signing for Wolves for the remainder of the season while Jimenez recovers.

But, in terms of a goal scorer for this game, the Brighton process is there but the finishing hasn’t always been. He did okay last season and he’s doing okay this season with five goals coming across four games.

In the games that he’s scored in he has been Brighton’s first goalscorer so I’m tipping up Neal Maupay to Score First in this one. His goal against West Ham was taken really well but just be aware than he was on penalties and missed one at Liverpool and Pascal Gross has been on pens since.
