Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson has picked out three super selections to keep you glued to your telly all day on Sunday.

The Liverpool legend has – shock – picked  Liverpool to beat West Brom and thinks Tottenham will get back to winning ways at Wolves. West Ham also get the nod and we’ll let the big man explain why.

Thommo’s Sunday Treble

Well, Spurs and Liverpool have got to be in my bet and I’m going to add in West Ham to Win as well. They weren’t as bad as the 3-0 score line looked against Chelsea on Monday.

It’s all well and good Sebastien Haller scoring worldies but I don’t want him scoring worldies, I want tap ins from my striker. They made a few changes against Chelsea and the 3-0 score line didn’t do them justice. I do fancy West Ham to get back on form with a home win at home to Brighton.

Away to Liverpool is going to be a tough one for West Brom. They’ve not been great and lost 3-0 at home last time. I know they got the red card which didn’t help matters and Sam Allardyce must have thought, ‘Oh my goodness, what have we done here?’

They’ve lost nine out of 14 in the Premier League and they’ve won just one of the last 18 in all league games. Things are not happening for them and they’ve conceded 29 goals. It’s only Leeds who have let in more.

If Liverpool are up for it, I would think, as we saw last week against Palace, teams can get very, very low once one or two go in. Liverpool are nine points worse off at this stage than they were last year, it’s amazing when you see that.

But they’re unbeaten in 10 and are the top scorers in the Premier League, 66 unbeaten at home. This is a proper home banker.

Spurs have lost back-to-back games in the Premier League but I think, for Wolves, there’s something missing there. They’re finding it very, very difficult to score. There’s something missing in that top end.

Defensively Wolves have not been bad with the joint best home defence so that’s not too bad but they’ve lost one of the last six at home but the Raul Jimenez thing means they just can’t get over the line.

Spurs, we’ve seen it now in the last six to 10 games, they just sit behind waiting to counter. Jose Mourinho will be smarting, they’ve had no win in three away. Heung-min Son is on 99 goals and he’s played around 250. He’ll looking to make that 100.

THOMMO’S TREBLE: So, I’m going Spurs, Liverpool and West Ham all to Win on Sunday.
