Sunday looks like it’s going to be a cracking day of football in the Premier League. Will goals be on the menu? Will we have to stomach another turkey sandwich?
More importantly though, can we squeeze any value out of the markets? Let’s have a look at the Best Bets we’ve found for these four Premier League matches.
12pm: Leeds vs Burnley – Both Teams to Score: No
Everyone and his dog seems to be lining up to heap praise on Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and yes, granted, they play football that’s pleasing to the eye but they’ve only won two of their last five Premier League matches and their record at Elland Road has seen them winning just one out of their last five.
Sunday 12pm: Leeds v Burnley

Burnley’s comparative form is better, they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five but looking at away matches only they’ve won just one of their last five away from Turf Moor, drawing three and losing one. As is usual though, Sean Dyche’s team don’t seem to care much for scoring goals and have only scored a solitary goal over those five previous away matches.
Indeed they’ve only scored five goals over their last 10 PL matches. Leeds’ defensive abilities aren’t the best, it must be said but facing a Burnley team averaging just 0.57 goals on the road there’s some value to be had in backing Both Teams to Score: No here.
2.15pm: West Ham vs Brighton – Over 2.5 Goals
West Ham’s home results have been pretty good so far this season with three wins, two draws and two losses. Brighton’s away record is far better than their home record where they’ve still to win at home, with two wins, two draws and three losses.
The teams are averaging 1.43 and 1.29 goals respectively, home vs away, and the odds on BTTS are decent enough. We can get more out of it though.
Sunday 2.15pm: West Ham v Brighton

Since Brighton were promoted to the PL four out of six meetings between the sides have seen Over 2.5 goals and all three previous meetings at West Ham saw at least three goals scored.
Add to this the fact that four out of West Ham’s five most recent PL matches have seen Overs landing and three out of Brighton’s four most recent away ones also saw goals and we like the look of the Over 2.5 Goals price here.
4.30pm: Liverpool vs West Brom – Mo Salah to Score First
Liverpool are top of the Premier League for the third Christmas in a row as we’re sure you’ve probably already heard from all the Liverpool fans you know. Makes you think though, that if a Liverpool, depleted by so many injuries can top the table, imagine how good they’ll be when they’ve a fully fit squad.
But if there’s one English manager who loves to spoil everyone’s fun it’s West Brom’s new head bottlewasher, Sam Allardyce. For all his bluster, Big Sam has only beaten a Jurgen Klopp-managed Liverpool on one occasion out of six attempts, when Crystal Palace beat Liverpool at Anfield in the final weeks of the 2016/17 season.
Sunday 4.30pm: Liverpool v West Brom

Mo Salah has been in incredible form over his last five Liverpool matches, scoring six goals. Surprisingly he’s never been in a PL side that’s beaten West Brom but he’s scored two over his four appearances against the Baggies.
The Egyptian has opened the scoring for Liverpool in three of those five matches mentioned above and scored the opener in both of Liverpool’s most recent home PL matches. In such good form we’re backing Mo Salah to open the scoring here.
7.15pm: Wolves vs Spurs – Both Teams To Score
Spurs have really gone and Spursed things up of late. What had looked like a two-horse Premier League race between them and Liverpool looks as dead as disco now.
Since losing to Liverpool at Anfield they’ve fallen further down the table to sixth after losing to former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodger’s Leicester City. Spurs go into this match with just one win over their five most recent away PL matches and face a Wolves side who have lost just two of their seven home PL matches this season.
Sunday 7.15pm: Wolves v Spurs
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Spurs have won on both of their recent visits to Molineux since Wolves were promoted back to the Premier League and while their stats show they’ve scored 15 over their seven away PL matches, they’ve only scored four over their five most recent on their league travels.
Wolves should score here, they’re averaging just over a goal per home league match and, for all of Spurs’ woes, they’ve scored at least one goal in 13 out of their last 15 on the road in all competitions. Healthy enough odds on Both Team To Score with those odds so that’s our pick here.
