For Saturday’s European action we’re looking at the Big Four leagues where some of the biggest names in continental football are in action. We’ve got five matches and a 23/1 Acca here thanks to finding some nice value in the markets after going through the stats and form. Let’s have a gander then at what we’ve picked.

3.15pm: Barcelona vs Valencia – BTTS No Draw

An early-ish kickoff here so don’t let it slip you by. Barcelona look to have put their worst form behind them after a shaky start to this season’s La Liga and have now won all four of their most recent home league fixtures. Valencia have a decent enough record at the Nou Camp with three wins over their 10 most previous visits in all competitions, Barcelona have won six of those 10.

Valencia have been awful on the road this season, winning just one of their La Liga matches so far. They’ve drawn two and lost three and have only scored a paltry six goals. They failed to score in their last away match in the league but have scored in six of their last seven visits to Barcelona. There’s little value in backing BTTS here but with this match rarely ending in a draw there’s far better odds to be had backing BTTS: No Draw here.

5.30pm: Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich – Over 3.5 Goals

There have been 28 goals over the five most recent meetings, 5.6 goals on average, between the pair at the Bayer Arena over the last two years (cup competitions included) and both are top scorers in this season’s league to boot.

Bayern have won four of those five with the home side winning just one and the winner here will take top spot in the league going into the final match before the Christmas break. Both sides are in good league form of late, the home side have won three and drawn two at home while Bayern, on the road, have won four and drawn one. We should see plenty of goals here from two sides in great form. We’re going with Over 3.5 goals here.

6pm: Marseille vs Reims – Both Teams To Score

Marseille are firm favourites here. They’re unbeaten over their five most recent home league matches while poor old Reims have won just one of their last five on their league excursions. Marseille though rarely keep a clean sheet, indeed just two in their last 10 at home in the league while Reim have scored at least one in eight out of 10 recent away Ligue 1 matches. We’re looking at Both Teams To Score here at some pretty decent odds.

7.45pm: Parma vs Juventus – Parma Under 0.5 Goals

Parma’s home results of late haven’t been mighty. They’ve not lost any of their last five but have won just one. Juventus have lost just one of their last 20 in all competitions and the market knows that only too well. Four out of those five home Parma matches have seen Under 2.5 goals though and seven out of the last eight meetings between the pair at Stadio Ennio Tardini have also all seen Unders.

Of course Juventus can turn up the heat when needed and can beat the best of anyone on their day but we’ve also seen Under 2.5 goals in three out of their last five on the road in the Serie A. While Unders is tempting with those stats we can’t trust Juventus to score less than two but Parma have failed to score now in three of their most recent at home. Coming up against one of the best defences in world football we see that trend continuing. We’re backing Parma Under 0.5 goals.

8pm: Sevilla vs Valladolid – Under 2.5 Goals

Sevilla have won three and lost two of their last five at home in the league while the away side have won just one of their last five on their travels, drawing one and losing three. The away side have been pretty awful on their league travels this season, winning just one match, and have only scored five goals over their six matches.

Sevilla’s games haven’t exactly been full of goals either, they’ve scored just six over their five at home in the league this season and Under 2.5 goals has been seen in four out of five previous home La Liga matches. We’re going with that again here.
