You can’t mention Crystal Palace without half of Merseyside being triggered and for good reason. That’s a lot of PTSD brought on by Roy Hodgson and his football club. But, the narrative does have to be spoken about somewhat.

Jurgen Klopp may not have gone to Europe midweek, but he’ll undoubtedly still complain about his side feeling the pinch of having so many games, and then being selected for the early Saturday kick-off – that’s despite the fact that Palace and West Ham finished a few minutes later. When Liverpool are frustrated, Mo Salah cuts inside and shoots. It generally either goes into the far corner or it dribbles along the ground into the opposition keeper’s hands – but either way, it’s a shot on target isn’t it?
I can sense the frustration of them not being able to cross the ball, or play one-twos with Firmino as no Palace defender gets dragged out of his gap and Salah deciding to take matters into his own hands.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, Palace will be afforded all the space in the world on the counter and given the recent performances of their front three (minus Benteke now of course), there’s every chance they’ll be firing at will too.
Their prowess from set-pieces isn’t going unnoticed in analysis sessions around the league either and, when you consider there’s always penalty drama with Liverpool, well – this might be a free hit too!
