For Sunday’s European Acca we’re taking a look at matches involving the league leaders in both Spain and Italy with Real Sociedad away to Alaves and AC Milan at Sampdoria. We’re also going north to Scotland for Celtic’s match against St Johnstone and to Germany then where rock bottom Schalke take on an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen. But, first of all, Udinese are taking on an Atalanta side who will still be high on confidence after beating Liverpool at Anfield.

2pm: Udinese vs Atalanta: Atalanta to Win and BTTS

Over the five most recent meetings between the pair at the Stadio Friuli honours have been shared. Both sides have won two each and the other ended 1-1. Four saw Over 2.5 goals landing and all five saw Both Teams to Score occurring. Atalanta have won the last two there and have won all five of the most recent meetings between the sides both home and away. The home side started off the season pretty badly at home, losing both to nil but have scored in their three most recent.

Atalanta have kept just one clean sheet out of their five most recent away Serie A matches. With Udinese having found their scoring boots finally, scoring seven over their last five home and away, and having scored at least one in their nine previous meetings against Atalanta at home. So, they should be good for one here at least. Atalanta have gotten the better of them over their five most recent meetings and with them in strong away from they should take the three points. Our pick is Atalanta to Win and Both Teams To Score.

3pm: Celtic vs St Johnstone: Both Teams To Score

Celtic are in a bit of bother. They’ve not won a match now in nearly a month and have lost their last three matches on the trot. To make matters worse, they’re coming up against a St Johnstone side who have won four and drawn one of their last five on their travels.

The Bhoys have only lost once to St Johnstone over their 10 most recent meetings at Celtic Park and the price on Celtic to Win reflects this. However, St Johnstone’s scoring record of late, nine over their last five Premiership matches and 14 over their five most recent away matches, should see them get one here, especially with Celtic being in such bad form and shipping 12 goals over their four most recent home matches. Both Teams To Score is a lovely price considering those stats.

5pm: Schalke vs Bayer Leverkusen: Both Teams to Score No Draw

Schalke have just three points this season, all taken from draws, they’ve lost all six of their other league games and the market isn’t giving them much of a chance here. Bayer have lost just one of their last 15 in all competitions and away from home have won five out of their last six in all competitions.

Schalke have, at least, scored in three out of their four home league games this season and Bayer’s clean sheets record is nothing to be proud of, just two clean sheets in seven away Bundesliga matches. Both Teams to Score No Draw is the pick here.

7.45pm: Sampdoria vs AC Milan: Milan Over 1.5 Goals

Sampdoria find themselves mid-table with three wins, two draws and four losses. They’ve won just one home match so far this campaign in the league. Milan, on the other hand, have won seven and drawn two of their Serie A matches this season.

Milan have scored two or more goals in all 10 of their most recent away Serie A matches and Sampdoria, for all their woes, have conceded at least two in four out of their last six home Serie A matches. We’re backing Milan to continue their trend here.

8pm: Alaves vs Real Sociedad: Both Teams To Score

La Liga leaders Real Sociedad have only lost one of their 11 league matches this season but they’ve now drawn their last three in succession. However, they’ve won four out of their last five away from home and have beaten Alaves in two out of their last three visits to the Estadio Mendizorrotza.

Alaves have proven a tough nut to crack at home this season, they’ve held both Barcelona and Valencia to a draw in recent weeks, they also beat Real Madrid away last weekend, and with Sociedad seemingly losing that winning touch we can’t pick them here. Alaves have scored at least one in all five of their most recent La Liga games while Sociedad are in good goal-scoring form too with 12 over their last six on the road. We’re going with Both Teams To Score again here.
