As we enter the penultimate week of the Champions League Group Stage there are a few worried teams who need to get stuck in on Wednesday night and get the job done. In particular we’ll be taking a look at Group H where Turkish champions Basaksehir are home to RB Leipzig, who need the three points if they stand any chance of qualifying for the next round.

Borussia Dortmund v Lazio is next on the list. A draw for Dortmund would see them qualify but with Lazio just a point behind Club Brugge, who would overtake them on the final day with two wins, the Italians will be fighting to get something positive in Germany.

Finally, already-qualified Juventus are at home to Dynamo Kiev but can close the gap on Group G leaders Barcelona with a win. Let’s have look for some value in the markets.

5.55pm: Basaksehir v RB Leipzig – BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

The Turkish side aren’t in the best of form and are finding it hard to juggle a successful title defence along with life in the Champions League. Of their last five fixtures they’ve won just one, drawing one and losing three. Leipzig have won three, drawn one and lost one. Basaksehir’s home form is a bit better with two wins, one draw and a loss and their scoring record of eight over those five will give them confidence of getting at least one here.

Leipzig on the road have only won one of their last five, drawing one and losing three. And most worryingly of all they’ve only managed to score three goals over those five matches. Their Champions League form though has seen them score 12 goals over their last eight away matches in the competition. With those stats we should see both teams scoring but the odds are pretty slim. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in four out of five recent home Basaksehir matches and in five of those eight away Champions League matches for Leipzig. We’re adding that to BTTS, so our bet is BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals.

8pm: Borussia Dortmund v Lazio – Dortmund to Win & BTTS

Dortmund could take two draws over their remaining Champions League matches and qualify but it’s not really their style is it? Lazio, as mentioned above, don’t need the three points here but coming away with a loss means that if Brugge beat Zenit at home it could come down to a head to head in Rome next week. Dortmund are obviously strong at home, winning three and losing two of their last five but in the Champions League they’ve won all five of their most previous at the Westfalenstadion.

Lazio’s away form has seen them win two, draw two and lose one of their last five on the road, scoring eight and conceding eight as well. With Dortmund’s impressive home record in the CL we have to take them here but Lazio are good enough to cause some problems and should get on the scoresheet. Some decent value odds are available here backing Dortmund to Win & BTTS.

8pm: Juventus v Dynamo Kiev – Juventus to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

The Old Lady have already qualified for the next round but will be eager to top the group in order to get a favourable draw. Easier said than done when the Group G leader is Barcelona, but they’ll see this as an opportunity to stay within three points and do some good to their goal difference at the same time.

Kiev are no pushovers though. They’ve scored in five of their six most recent away matches in the competition and have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five on the road in all competitions. Juventus’ home record is outstanding in the competition with seven wins out of their last nine home matches, with six seeing Over 2.5 goals occurring. With them in need of improving their goal difference here as well, matched with their home form and Kiev’s scoring record, the value lies in backing Juve to Win & Over 2.5 Goals.
