Aston Villa, like so many other Premier League teams, boast far better away form than at home this season. Dean Smith’s side boast a perfect record on the road this season, winning all three games without conceding a goal. It has been a different story at Villa Park, where they have lost their last three games – letting in nine goals in the process.

The difference between their home performances and their away showings so far this year has been remarkable and they will head to the London Stadium full of confidence. West Ham, on the other hand, have been one of the few Premier League teams to boast a superior home record to their away one.

The Hammers are unbeaten in their last three home league games after their opening day defeat to Newcastle, picking up seven points from their last nine. Something has to give on Monday night and Villa’s impressive winning away streak could come to an end with a credible draw in the capital.

Both teams to score

Villa have been prolific on their travels so far this season, scoring seven times in three away games and scoring six times in their two trips to London. The Villans have been clinical on their travels, ruthlessly putting three past Arsenal and Fulham in comprehensive away wins.

West Ham, meanwhile, have scored in all eight league games since their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on the opening day of the season and carry an attacking threat through Jarrod Bowen, Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals. This should pave the way for an entertaining game on Monday night.

Over 10.5 corners

With both teams likely to have a go at each other, there is an excellent chance that we’ll see more than 10 corners in what will hopefully be an open game. The recent form of both also suggests that there will be plenty of corners at the London Stadium.

West Ham have averaged just under five corners a game this season, despite putting in defensive performances against Liverpool and Manchester City which produced just four corners between them. When playing teams closer to their own level – like Newcastle and Fulham – they have registered eight and nine corners respectively.

Villa, meanwhile, have averaged just under seven corners a game in their eight league games so far. Smith’s men have registered a whopping 31 corners in their last three games and seem to be taking teams on at every opportunity. There is every chance that both sides will at least match their season average, taking the corner count past the 10.5 mark on Monday.

Ollie Watkins to score anytime

West Ham may boast plenty of attacking potential in Fornals, Bowen and Co, but Villa have the most potent player on the pitch at their disposal in Ollie Watkins. Watkins, who finished as the second-highest goalscorer in the Championship last season, has quickly adapted to life in the top-flight.

The former Brentford striker rose to prominence with a scintillating hat-trick against Liverpool in the famous 7-2 win, and he has since added a brace at the Emirates as Villa thrashed Arsenal. Watkins also scored in two away games in the League Cup before Villa were dumped out by Stoke. He has an excellent chance of adding to his six-goal Premier League tally on Monday.
