You always feel as though Gareth Bale has a goal in his locker, he maybe doesn’t have enough fitness to start games yet. The reality about it is that his fitness levels won’t be great. They’ve got to work on him, he’s probably not had the pre season, he’s just coming into Spurs.

But, my goodness, how well are they playing? When you’re involved in football and you talk about bringing in players each year, you can bring in just one or two and it changes the dynamic. I mean, there’s a bit of a buzz about it. The new fella, what’s he bringing in?

Sunday 12pm: West Brom v Tottenham
Sky Sports Box Office

Bale will be a new fella to Spurs and this fella will help them. You look at Son Heung-Min, he’s absolutely knocking them in. Son’s got eight goals, Harry Kane, six goals, the assists from Kane, it is just phenomenal what these guys are doing.

I fear for West Brom because they’ve had three draws and getting beat last week was an absolute nightmare. That game against Fulham was the type of game that Slaven Bilic is going to have to win. He’s a guy whose job is probably already on the line.

THOMMO’S TIP: I just think Spurs are going to run out nice and easy winners. I’m going to go for 3-0 to Spurs.

2pm: Leicester v Wolves

It’s got a nice ring to it, this tie, and I think this is one of the attractive fixtures of the weekend. We were talking about Everton, were they going to do a Leicester this year? Aston Villa, were they going to do a Leicester and come through and win the league? Can Leicester do a Leicester?!

We’re at that point of the season and we’re only seven games in but the eighth weekend.  What a performance that was for Leicester against Leeds. And they gave everything in that game.

Sunday 2pm: Leicester v Wolves
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

They defended well when they needed to, they counter attacked with pace and power and what a performance. I was watching it and I was glued to it. You’re going, ‘Oh, this does remind me of a certain team from a few years ago!’ So, Leicester, for me, are absolutely flying.

I’ve always been a great admirer of Nuno Espirito Santo, he’s set in his ways, will change now and again, but he’s got that three at the back, four in midfield and three up front. I just think this is a great fixture. Leicester have won five out of seven since the start of the season with a better points total at this stage than when they won the title.

THOMMO’S TIP: It’s hard to call but I do think Leicester will win this game. It’s going to be very, very tight, I think Leicester will win with Both Teams Scoring.

7.15pm: Arsenal v Aston Villa

A few weeks ago we were looking at Villa and so many people were talking about them. Maybe that’s effected the players. Maybe their attitude was not right and it’s maybe dropped and of course they’ve had a couple of really damaging defeats recently.

Arsenal, again another team where they’re up and down. They have won four and lost three of their seven games. I think it tells you that maybe Mikel Arteta is still finding out what his best team is, whether it’s three at the back or four at the back.

Sunday 7.15pm: Arsenal v Aston Villa
Sky Sports Box Office

Arsenal have only conceded seven goals which is surprising and is the best in the Premier League which shows they’ve tightened that up. They were excellent in the win against Manchester United.

They draw teams onto them but I don’t think they have great pace at the back so they defend rather deep and they counter. Aston Villa, it really should have been different for them against Southampton at home.

They were 4-1 down and scored two in injury time so they are in a real difficult place now and have dropped heavily from their great heights.

TMOMMO’S TIP: I think this is a comfortable victory for Arsenal. I’m going to for them on the alternative handicap with Arsenal (-2).

Sunday Double

My double for Sunday is Leicester, I thought they were great against Leeds, and Arsenal both to win.

Thommo’s tips for Sunday

12pm: West Brom v Tottenham – 3-0 to Spurs
2pm: Leicester v Wolves – Leicester to Win and Both Teams To Score
7.15pm: Arsenal v Aston Villa – Arsenal (-2)
