The pressure is piling on Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham and the Aussie didn’t help himself by claiming he always wins a trophy in his second season at clubs.
After being dumped out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, Spurs’ only chance of silverware is the Europa League where they’ll face a stern test against Eintracht Frankfurt. As it stands, Tottenham sit just a few places above the relegation zone in the Premier League and they’ve got some rather tough fixtures looming.
Spurs need to climb the table and fast as we all know Daniel Levy is happy to pull the trigger and get the next man in for the job.
With the pressure weighing Postecoglou down, we’re looking at some of the favourites to be the Next Tottenham Manager.

Mauricio Pochettino
It couldn’t happen could it?
Mauricio Pochettino, who is now in charge of the United States national team, was last in charge of Spurs in 2019 and he’s always held in high regard at the club, especially with the fans.
Could the Argentine, who has managed PSG and Chelsea since leaving Tottenham, be tempted to return to club football? With the USA already qualified as hosts for next summer’s World Cup it seems unlikely but we’ve seen plenty of international manager double jobbing.
Marco Silva
Marco Silva has done a brilliant job at Fulham and he’s not far behind Poch in the betting to take over from Postecoglou.
Fulham are in with a major shout of securing European football for next season which would be a huge achievement.
Silva’s teams are usually hard to beat and that’s something you can’t say about Tottenham…
Andoni Iraola
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola recently had to dismiss talks of him replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid so a move to Spurs may not even cross his mind.
Iraola has been sensational at Bournemouth and the Cherries could find themselves playing European football next season.
That alone would leave him more than qualified to take over at Tottenham.
Kieran McKenna
Kieran McKenna’s stock is incredibly high despite Ipswich facing an uphill battle to stay in the Premier League.
The Northern Irishman guided Ipswich to consecutive promotions from League One to the Premier League and his team always puts up a fight while trying to play the right way. They have struggled for goals of late, so yes, he’s fit right in at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Thomas Frank
Thomas Frank took over at Brentford in 2018 and the Bees are now a mainstay in the Premier League.
They’ve been a bit hit and miss this season but Frank is constantly linked with a move to a ‘bigger’ club when there’s a vacancy.
Could Frank be tempted to move across London to join Spurs if the opportunity arose?
He’s used to a shoestring budget which would be ideal for Levy.
Edin Terzic
Who is Edin Terzic we hear you ask?
The former Borussia Dortmund manager won over 58 per cent of his games over his two stints as BVB manager. His team plays attacking football and he guided Dortmund to a DFB-Pokal in 20221 and to a Champions League final last season.
Erik ten Hag
Erik ten Hag had a couple of turbulent years at Manchester United but he did win a couple of trophies during his time at Old Trafford, picking up an FA Cup in 2024 and a League Cup in the previous season. At Ajax, he won the league and cup double in 2018/19 and 2020/21 and another league title in 2021/22.
The Dutchman wasn’t afraid to call out his players when they weren’t performing. Maybe that’s what this Spurs dressing room needs?
Gareth Southgate
Gareth Southgate has been heavily linked with Premier League clubs since leaving his role as England boss last year.
He divided opinion when in charge of the Three Lions but he did guide England to two Euros finals in consecutive tournaments
