Paddy’s Hall Of Fame: Super Sub helps punter turn £1 bet into over £1,200

You gotta love a Super Sub.

Not only did Tuesday night see some thrilling Champions League clashes but one of Paddy’s prudent punters saw an epic 1,202/1 flutter fly into the top corner thanks to a wonderful assist from Paddy’s Super Sub offer.

And the wager in question was a long-range Multi Match Bet Builder that was saved by the tactical genius of Liverpool boss Arne Slot.

The Dutchman, whose Reds are top of the Premier League and Champions League tables, made two perfect changes at exactly the right time to help our bettor bag a big punt which saw £1 become £1,202.

The flutter involved Atletico Madrid’s dramatic 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool’s victory over Lille by the same scoreline in the UCL on Tuesday 21st of January.

In each game there were five players to commit 1+ fouls flutters as well as two players to have 1+ shots on target and a man to be carded.

You wouldn’t have thought so, given the way the game played out, but everything went to plan in Atleti’s dramatic 10-man come-from-behind win over the German champions.

Javi Galan, Piero Hincapie, Granit Xhaka, Exequiel Palacios and Jeremie Frimpong all did the business by giving away a foul each while Julian Alvarez and Florian Wirtz both registered a shot on target, with the former scoring both of Atletico’s goals.

Hincapie didn’t mess around picked himself up a red card to land the final leg in that game and even the tie up at 10 men apiece.

At Anfield Benjamin Andre, Bafode Diakite, Curtis Jones and Mitchel Bakker all forced the ref to test out his whistle but Dominik Szoboszlai was on his best behaviour.

Fortunately he was replaced by the ever-reliable Wataru Endo who took up the Super Sub mantle to give away a foul and keep out punter rolling.

Andre managed to do the double and picked up a booking, meaning it was the brave shout of Darwin Nunez to hit the target along with Luis Diaz to do the same.

Surprisingly Nunez did the job but Diaz drew a blank before Federico Chiesa (remember him?) was brough on and managed to test the keeper in his 15-or-so-minutes on the pitch.

It was a long-range flutter and, in the olden days, it would have lost with two legs failing due to substitutions.

But, no more, and another of Paddy’s punters are in pocket thanks to his innovative Super Sub offer.

Congratulations and welcome into Paddy’s Punting Hall of Fame!
