Netflix have revealed the second season of their hit series Squid Game will see its contestants try to win a trophy for Spurs.
It follows the news that Tottenham formally announced a partnership with the US-based streaming giants to mark the start of the series on December 26.
The North London club have agreed to conduct several activities involving supporters during their home game against Liverpool on Sunday with Squid Game guards rounding up Spurs fans to participate in a futuristic survival contest.
Discussing the collaboration with Paddy Power News, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said:
‘Dragging our long-suffering fans out of their seats to make them partake in a series of deadly games is another exciting way to enhance the matchday experience’.

‘Our fans are well versed when it comes entering competitions then waiting to be eliminated.
‘But ultimately, we hope that one of the fans will survive the games and end Tottenham’s 17-year trophy drought’.
However, the announcement has faced a backlash from Spurs fans with supporters claiming that enforced participation in dystopian death games is a step too far under Levy’s ownership.
‘We put up with the Tim Sherwood era, the Jacques Santini era, we even put up with one season of Bobby Zamora! But making us risk our lives in deadly children’s games is taking the biscuit’, one disgruntled Tottenham supporter told Paddy Power News.
‘When you think about it, supporting Tottenham is a Squid Game in itself.
‘Watching broken men in green tracksuits play games and hoping to win a prize but most of us will die before we see it.
‘And it’s all overseen by a sick old bald fella’.
Meanwhile, games organiser Oh ll-nam AKA Player 001 has hit out at the decision to use Spurs fans as contestants.
‘No one will win. They’ll all bottle it’, bemoaned the financial tycoon.
