The Carabao Cup is the first domestic cup competition of the season, with all 92 sides in the EFL and the Premier League competing for a chance to lift the trophy.
Seven knockout rounds are traditionally played during the week over a single leg – except the semi-final which is over two – with the final taking place at Wembley Stadium.
It is often seen as a lesser trophy than the FA Cup, although it provides a chance for sides to qualify for Europe, and the earlier final makes it an early chance for clubs to get their hands on silverware.
Liverpool are the defending champions after beating Chelsea 0-1 in the final after extra-time, but can the Reds retain the prize and win their first trophy under new manager Arne Slot?
