Manchester United’s training ground has been flooded after reports of a leak, it has emerged.
First team training was cancelled this morning and a plumber’s van was spotted outside United’s Trafford Training Centre as the club tries to determine the source of the leak.
Reds stars including skipper Bruno Fernandes were seen stacking sandbags in a bid to stop the flooding although efforts were halted for several minutes when midfielder Mason Mount put his back out.
Manchester-based plumber Mario Gallagher, who recently completed repair work on the Old Trafford roof, told Paddy Power News:
‘I got a call this morning to say there’d been another leak at Carrington’.
‘Sir Jim Ratcliffe told me to find the source and deal with it accordingly’, he added, while tapping a huge spanner on the palm of his hand.
While many have speculated as to the source of the leak, man United online streamer Milchael Silverarch claims to know the true origin.
‘I know I said the person responsible for the leak was Dean Henderson. Then Eric Bailly. Then Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial. But trust me this time when I tell you it’s Marcus Rashford’, reported the 45-year-old live from his mum’s spare bedroom.
‘My sources tell me Marcus was stuffing blue roll down the Carrington bogs as a prank.
‘This is unacceptable behaviour. Marcus needs to understand what it means to represent Manchester United’, he added.
In light of the revelations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has organised for Rashford to take a short boat trip with some members of the New Jersey mob.
Ratcliffe is reported to have ‘made some calls’ after it emerged the striker could be the cause of the leak and the 27-year-old will set sail from Jersey Shore on a vessel called The Stugots which will be skippered by Anthony John Soprano this evening.
