Tuesday’s night’s Champions League action saw a flood of goals across Europe and some crucial wins for teams looking to push on into the last 16 knockout stages in 2025.
And on an action-packed night, one lucky punter produced a mind-blowing 16-leg multi-match Bet Builder to flip 20p (yes, 20p!) into a whopping return of £1,173.39!
Nerves would have been frayed in the closing stages as Aston Villa and Real Madrid held on to secure 3-2 away wins at RB Leipzig and Atalanta respectively.
Just as Unai Emery relied on his bench, our victor also leant on Paddy’s Super Sub offer which keeps your bet going even if your player selection is taken off, as the player who comes on to replace them and can still notch a winner!
How did this sorcery take place? Let’s take a look…
In Leipzig, BTTS and Over 2.5 goals were easy bankers on the night and John McGinn’s early goal hit a key score or assist market.
The two goalkeepers did their part too, as Emi Martinez made the 3+ saves required, and his opposite number Peter Gulasci made 4+.
However, the real bit of brilliance came via the Super Sub, as Jhon Duran netted off the bench to complete a Ollie Watkins 2+ Shots on Target leg and Ross Barkley’s late winner brought in a Youri Tielemans Shot on Target shout as the former Evertonian replaced the Belgian.
Things were more straightforward at Atalanta, as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham stepped up with goals in Bergamo.
Ademola Lookman was a pest for Real Madrid defence all night, and his goal came from one of three shots on target, to bring home the priciest leg of the bet.
That’s Christmas boxed off – thanks to a little luck-man!
Luck, man, Lookman… yeah?
I’ll get me coat.
