Fantasy Premier League: Fulham keep it Spursy and Haaland on the hunt in Gameweek 13

Nathon Woodhead is on duty for Gameweek 13 as Pep and Haaland head to Anfield.

Gameweek 12 threw up very few surprises – as big-hitters Bukayo Saka and Mo Salah offered double digit returns (13 each), as predicated in our GW12 Preview – talk about ‘playing it safe’, as one of our readers suggested… OK, expect us to be more bold in our tips this week.

The big winners of GW12 were Wolves who demolished Fulham 4-1 at Craven Cottage, with Matheus Cunha topping the round score leaderboard, returning 16 points to the 18% who own him.

With his form at 11.3, placing him second only to Salah (12.0), is the £7m forward worth bringing in for the festive period? There could be more goals to come as his next five fixtures include Bournemouth, Everton, West Ham, Ipswich and Leicester.

A special shout out to the full-backs making top 5 points returns in GW12. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (15) owned by 1.9% and Pedro Porro (14) owned by 28.4%, we salute you.

Looking ahead to Gameweek 13, we have an FPL hall of fame face off with Salah up against Erling Haaland.

With Man City reminding fans what life was like before the 2008 cash injection, it seems a no brainer that league-toppers Liverpool will run riot at Anfield… or will they?

Having picked up an astonishing 54 points in the opening four gameweeks, Haaland has only delivered 30 in the following eight, but his owners continue to persevere with the £15.1m striker because eventually, we all know City will claw their way out of this mess and the big Norwegian will bag back-to-back hat tricks. It could begin on Sunday….

So, let’s grab that crystal ball and see what Gameweek 13 has to offer…

A bit Spursy

On the back of a 4-0 win at the Etihad, wouldn’t it be the most Spurs thing ever to lose at home to Fulham. I mean, they did lose at home to Ipswich in GW11.

Paddy’s Pro Tip: Fulham to steal a win. Leno to keep a clean sheet and Smith Rowe to provide an attacking return and reveal an Arsenal top under his Fulham jersey in the process.

Man City to take something from ‘cup final’

Pep’s men have no alternative but to treat this clash like a cup final and go for the win, and let’s be honest, they still have an array of talent at their disposal. Losing would mean going 11 points behind Liverpool.

Paddy’s Pro Tip: Haaland and Foden to provide attacking returns reminding people why they’ve won the title four seasons on the bounce.

Is it time to take Chelsea seriously?

They are third in the league; and Chelsea seem to have found calm within the club and their on-field performances have become more consistent. Aston Villa are a strong side but perhaps Champions League football is taking its toll on them.

Paddy’s Pro Tip: Chelsea to brush off Villa with Nicolas Jackson rewarding the 19.9% who own him with a goal.

Clean sheet at Old Trafford, but who for?

As much as we love Jordan Pickford, it will not be for Everton. It seems like Man United concede lots of goals, yet Andre Onana is the top scoring keeper so far this season (56).

Paddy’s Pro Tip: Another clean sheet and bonus points for Onana.
