Last season, for the first time since 1998, all three promoted teams dropped straight back down to the Championship, but how will the new sides fair this time?
The newly-promoted trio of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton are struggling to keep their heads above water but established sides Crystal Palace, Everton and Wolves have also made poor starts to keep things interesting.
Here’s a rundown of the teams that are expected to be in the fight.

Southampton
It’s no surprise that the Championship play-off winners are the favourites to go down. Russell Martin has never coached in the top flight before and it’s already proving to be a big test.
They have some Premier League experience in their squad, but will need to take points off those around them if they are to have any chance of staying up.
The Saints picked up their first win at the 10th attempt as Everton were beaten at St Mary’s. Could that kickstart their campaign?

Ipswich Town
Ipswich were the surprise package in the second tier last season to earn back-to-back promotions under highly-rated manager Kieran McKenna.
The Northern Irishman has coaching experience in the Premier League with Manchester United, but similarly to Luton last season, it will be tough for them to adapt to this level.
Draws in five of their 10 games before their first win at the 11th attempt have given fans encouragement, although they need to kick on if they want to stay up, though.

Leicester City
Not only did they lose their manager from last season’s Championship-winning campaign, but Leicester also saw key midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall follow Enzo Maresca to Chelsea.
The Foxes appointed a well-established coach in the form of Steve Cooper and a return of 10 points from 11 games has them performing best of the newly-promoted trio.
Whether Leicester can maintain this level throughout the course of the campaign is another matter.

Wolves
Wolves were one of the most surprising sides in the Premier League last season, finishing 10th under boss Gary O’Neil, despite being tipped to struggle.
While they weren’t expected to be in too much bother this time around, their season has started terribly with just six points registered from the first 11 games.
They have had some tough fixtures though, so there’s still time to turn things around, whether O’Neil will be given that opportunity is anyone’s guess.

Everton
The Toffees remain in turmoil. It’s the final Premier League campaign at the iconic Goodison Park as they prepare to move into their new stadium next year.
Fans will be hoping they’re still a top-flight side by then, but the early signs are not great after bagging just 10 points from their first 11.
They recently enjoyed a four-game unbeaten run and Sean Dyche has the knowhow to keep the Toffees in a sweet enough spot.
