Paddy punter nets £7k off £3 stake with stunning 16-fold Multi-Match Bet Builder

And you thought the Nations League was just a waste of time...

One savvy Paddy Power punter has left our traders stumped after turning a £3 punt into a cool £7k with an international footy blockbuster of a bet.

The lack of any decent Premier League action was no issue for this customer who placed a 16-leg Multi-Match Bet Builder covering three days of Nations League games.

And their dogged determination to stick with the somewhat derided UEFA tournament paid off as £3 became £7,337.14 after the bet got over the line on Tuesday night.

Here’s how it played out…

The 16-leg bet covered 15 different games, with the only game that featured two from the same match coming on Sunday night where Scotland travelled to Lisbon to face Portugal.

It all nearly came a cropper early doors with the two drawing 1-1 until, who else, Cristiano Ronaldo popped up in the 88th minute to bag a winner for the hosts and ensure the selection of Portugal to win landed. Bruno Fernandes also needed to commit at least one foul which the Manchester United man duly delivered on.

He also predicted that Croatia would beat Poland, which they did thanks to the evergreen Luka Modric, and that Spain would take the points away to Switzerland.

The reigning Euros champions went two up in double-quick time but were soon down to 10 men and they still went on to win 4-1 after looking a bit shaky when their hosts pulled one back just before half time. Phew!

He also called the Swedish result as they smashed Estonia 3-0, and had Slovakia to beat Azerbaijan too.

On to Monday where six games were on the menu. He called Slovenia to beat Kazakhstan, Norway to beat Austria, which landed thanks to a late Erling Haaland goal, Italy to beat Israel on the road and for Turkey to do the business over Iceland.

France were rightly backed to bounce back against Belgium while our punter knew Craig Bellamy would get his first victory for Wales away in a sodden Montenegro.

All eyes were then on England at home to Finland and Albania hosting Georgia.

It was in the bag wasn’t it?

Yes, it certainly was. Both games had a cagey first half, though, which probably had our lad sweating a bit.

In the second half, up popped Levante’s Giorgi Kochorashvili to score for Georgia in their 0-1 win, while a second-half brace from Harry Kane saw the Bet Builder landing, turning a £3 stake into a whopping £7,337.14
