Premier League referees this weekend: Appointments for gameweek four

Who's in the middle?

Premier League referee Michael Oliver blows a whistle

A Premier League weekend rarely passes by without a controversial call by the officials on the pitch or in the VAR room.

The 2024/25 season is unlikely to be any different as the greatest league in the world takes centre stage after a busy summer of football action.

Arsenal’s trip to rivals Spurs on Sunday is the pick of this weekend’s fixtures and Jarred Gillett is tasked with keeping order in North London, with Stuart Atwell on VAR.

The fourth round of fixtures kicks off with Southampton and Manchester United – at Saturday lunchtime – who are both struggling early on in this campaign. There are five games at 15:00, while Everton travel to Aston Villa in the evening kick-off and Bournemouth host Chelsea at 20:00. Two further games take place on Sunday.

After the standard of officiating came under constant criticism last season, a question every fan wants to know is which referee will be in charge of each game. Well don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
