Scottish Premiership 2024/25 Ultimate Guide – Dates, Format, Odds, Old Firm Fixtures and Teams

Can Celtic win their third title in a row?

Celtic and Rangers

The Scottish Premiership is back for the 2024/25 season as Celtic look to fend off arch-rivals Rangers and win their third straight league title.

The Hoops are firm favourites to retain the trophy under manager Brendan Rodgers and open their campaign against Kilmarnock after an impressive pre-season.

Celtic travelled to the USA ahead of the new season and statement victories over Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea prove that the defending champions are the team to beat.

As always, their closest challengers are likely to be Rangers, who face a tough opening weekend test against Hearts.

The Gers are stepping up their summer recruitment in the hope of catching their rivals, but they failed to win any of their four pre-season games and still have a long way to go.

Star midfielder Matt O’Riley could depart Parkhead, however, if his £23million price tag is met by any interested club.
