Premier League referees Anthony Taylor and Michael Oliver have been awarded the whistle for the Euro 2024 quarter-finals on Friday for Spain v Germany and Portugal v France.
The decision surprised some, mainly English fans, after both were sent to the monitor to review debatable handball decisions in the round of 16.
With the reputation of Premier League referees lower than ever, supporters may be watching the two mouth-watering ties with bated breath, praying the games aren’t ruined by their “favourite” whistle-blowers.
However, how do they stack up against their Italian and French counterparts who will take charge of Saturday’s quarter-finals?
Paddy crunches the numbers on the four referees and reveals their all-important stats from the tournament so far.
