When is the Carabao Cup first-round draw? Date, time, ball numbers & how to watch

The road to Wembley begins!

The Carabao Cup trophy

We’re counting down the days until club football returns, and the Carabao Cup is just one of the competitions to look forward to next season.

The draw for round one will see teams from all three EFL leagues battle it out for a place in the next stage of the tournament and a potential top-flight opponent.

Liverpool are the reigning champions having defeated Chelsea in last February’s final, which turned out to be the final time Jurgen Klopp lifted a trophy as manager of the Reds.

However, they won’t enter the competition this season until round three as they are involved in the Champions League.

You can find all the latest football odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the all-important draw.
