Euro 2024 favourites: Which team heads Paddy’s odds to win this summer’s Euros?

We're down to two!

Harry Kane and Alvaro Morata

The final of Euro 2024 is here as two teams take centre stage in Berlin.

We’ve not been short of drama with several upsets and surprises throughout the past three weeks, and we are now down to the last game.

Spain have been the most impressive side so far knocking out hosts Germany and World Cup runners-up France en route to the final.

They will take on England who after a turbulant start proved their worth in a dramatic semi-final victory over the Netherlands with a 90th minute winner from Ollie Watkins.

La Roja head to Berlin as favourites, but The Three Lions are determind to steal victory.

Spain

Not many people backed Spain to be a contender this summer but they have, arguably, been the most exciting team so far.

Even in a tough group that included Italy and Croatia, the 2008 and 2012 winners finished first without dropping any points.

It’s certainly a very different Spanish side from the one that won back-to-back titles, but whatever they are doing is working.

They (eventually) breezed past Georgia in the last-16 stage and dramatically beat the hosts in the quarter-final.

Luis de la Fuente’s side then defeated France to secure a place in the final.

England

Could this be England’s year? Fans always seem to think so, but this year they could be right.

However, they haven’t started the tournament off as well as they would have hoped. A nervy 1-0 win over Serbia was followed by a 1-1 draw with Denmark and a 0-0 stalemate with Slovenia.

Gareth Southgate’s side went through as group winners, though, and luck seems to be in their corner with the draw, although they needed extra time to get past Slovakia in the last 16 and penalties to beat Switzerland in the quarters.

Crucially they avoided France who were on the opposite side of the draw and overcame the Netherlands in the semi-final.
