Why Liverpool v Man City Premier League title clash will kick off at 3:45pm on Sunday

It's the big one...

Mo Salah and Kevin de Bruyne

Liverpool v Manchester City takes place on Sunday and it could be the deciding factor in this season’s Premier League title race.

It’s the game everyone has been waiting for. For years both clubs have battled it out at the top with Klopp’s Reds the only team capable of consistently matching Guardiola’s City dynasty.

Last season was the exception, but now Liverpool are back and go into a potential title-deciding clash at Anfield one point ahead of the defending champions.

Liverpool’s Anfield record is outstanding and the last time their teams faced off on Merseyside was in October 2022 as the Reds claimed a narrow 1-0 victory.

Repeat that success and they will go four points clear and the title in Klopp’s final season will be within reach.

Of course, Arsenal are still very much a contender but all the focus has been on Liverpool v City and we will finally get to see them go head-to-head for the second time this campaign.

Why does Liverpool v Man City kick off at 3:45pm on Sunday?

It is part of Sky Sports’ Super Sunday, with the final game usually beginning at 4:30pm. However, an agreement has been reached between the broadcaster and police for a slightly earlier kick-off to prevent crowd trouble.
