When is the 2023/24 Champions League last 16 draw? Date, time, teams and format

UEFA love lengthy draw, don't they...

Leandro Trossard

The knockout stage is when the Champions League really comes to life as the race to reach the final intensifies.

Only the cream of the crop will be involved in the last 16 as half the teams saw their European dreams crash and burn in the group stage.

The Premier League will be represented by two sides as Manchester City and Arsenal sailed through their groups, but Manchester United and Newcastle’s dreams turned to nightmares as they finished bottom of their groups.

Harry Kane’s wish to lift any trophy of any kind could be fulfilled in the Champions League after Bayern Munich romped to top spot in Group A so a favourable last-16 draw might be on the cards.

England team-mate Jude Bellingham will also feature in the knockout rounds after leading Real Madrid through the group stage with a number of crucial goals.
