Former Everton striker Louis Saha is worried Everton might struggle to stay up after being hit with a 10-point penalty for financial breaches.
While the charges and punishment are for historical misdemeanors, further punishment could be in the pipeline if they don’t sort their revenues out.
And Saha told Paddy Power News he’s worried a fire sale could be around the corner to ensure they comply in future.
It’ll be tough for Everton to avoid relegation
It’s going be tough for Everton to avoid relegation this season because they might have to sell players and this instability is not good for such a great club.
I’m not saying that Everton should get away with the breaches because of who they are and their history, but it’s going be very tough for the manager.
There are a few teams who will be fighting for survival and it’s tough to see them in this situation.
In recent games there were signs that they were finding a good formula and it’s like a big slap in the back of the head for Sean Dyche who’s going to have to go again.

Others must be punished if Everton are
There is definitely unfairness in Everton’s points deduction in terms of the severity of the punishment.
It seems like Everton are being made an example of and it’s very harsh.
The Premier League is making rules and then they’re not really following them.
Some of the biggest clubs in the League, Manchester City and Chelsea, have breached the rules and I can’t understand how it all works.
It seems harsh because looking at what every club in the world has faced with Covid, all the Premier League is trying to be too radical and by the book.
a 10-point deduction seems really big
Manchester City and Chelsea must be punished as well if they’re punishing Everton, but we haven’t seen that.
Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain always seem to find a way to get around those things, but Everton haven’t managed to do that.
There is always a solution, and Everton have always run the club very well so I’m very sad about the situation.
