The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is upon us with the big kick off on Thursday 20th of July.
Co-hosts New Zealand and Australia feature against Norway and the mighty Ireland respectively – and you don’t even need to set your alarm with some agreeable kick-off times on the opening day (8am and 11am).
USA are the favourites with England just behind according to Paddy’s odds-makers. The former are looking to make it three in a row while The Lionesses are in good form and are the reigning European champions but have never lifted this trophy.
So will it be one of the hotly-tipped teams or can an outsider shock the world? Well, you can war game the Women’s World Cup right now with Women’s World Cup predictions game.
It’s easy peasy to use. All you do is select who you think’s finishing 1st and 2nd in each group and then get the crystal ball out to work out who’s winning each round of 16 match, quarter final, semi final and finally the final.
Sure Ireland might be 100/1 to win the whole thing, but what if?
What if they top their group, breeze past The Danes in the last 16 before shocking France in the quarters and swatting aside England in the semis before dethroning the USWNT in the final.
Maybe 100/1 is a little short after all, but it’s nice to visualise and if you can’t dream what can you do?
So, once you’ve guided Ireland to glory, have another go and see who else wins if the unimaginable doesn’t happen and it’s the first flight home for Vera Pauw’s gals.
