Transfer Latest: Harry Kane considers West Ham switch in hunt for trophies

Sick of blowing his cheeks at Spurs, Harry's blowing bubbles next term...

Harry Kane, 12-22

Harry Kane is said to be open to a move to West Ham in his quest to leave Tottenham for a club that can offer silverware.

Spurs’ record-breaking goal scorer is said to believe he has achieved all he can with Spurs and would consider moving across London to a side clearly on the up and capable of fulfilling his ambition of winning trophies.

“Harry was fighting back the tears as he watched the final the other night,” we were told by a close associate.

“He couldn’t believe Danny Ings has a European winner’s medal in his locker before he does.”

“Apparently Arsenal contacted Harry’s representatives to see if they could pull off a Sol Campbell-type North London switch, but they don’t win anything either so Kane told them where to go.

“It’s got to the point in his career where he needs to pick a club that wins trophies, and with West Ham London’s most successful club this season and due to get in excess of £100m for Declan Rice, they will not struggle to afford Kane,” continued the friend.

Whilst David Moyes and the West Ham owners were out celebrating, Paddy Power News asked if there was any substance to the Kane story.

“We will not rush to spend the millions we get for Dec as it will need to be invested properly,” we were told.

“Harry is a top striker, but imagine the type of bubble machine we could get with £100m?”

“I’ve been searching on Amazon and think I’ve found the perfect one which comes with multicoloured bubbles, free delivery and installation support,” confirmed a senior West Ham executive.

Elsewhere in the news, an East London hospital has confirmed a record number of children have been named Jarrod in the past 48 hours. Having not been in the top 100 most common boy names for the past ten years, over 4,000 children have been named Jarrod in the E1 postcode since 10pm Wednesday night.
