Todd Boehly: Chelsea will beat Real Madrid 3-0 in 3rd leg

Someone better tell him

A defiant Todd Boehly backed his under-fire Chelsea players to beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the 3rd leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

It comes after plucky Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti outwitted Chelsea’s master tactician Frank Lampard over both legs to lead 4-0 on aggregate.

Sources claim American billionaire Boehly stormed the home dressing room at the full-time whistle and delivered a rousing speech to crestfallen Blues stars in the wake of their 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

‘This is only half-time in the tie. We can win the 3rd quarter, or leg as you Brits call it, three zero’, Boehly told bemused Chelsea players after the game.

‘And after we kick their Spanish asses at the Berna Bowl, we’ll win the 4th quarter three zero at the Bridge’.

‘It won’t be easy. But if Frank adopts my tried and tested 4-4-3 system, those Madrid dudes can kiss the Champions League’s ass goodbye’.

Meanwhile, despite losing the first four games of his second spell in charge, interim Chelsea boss Lampard is trying to focus on the positives.

‘We have the best crowd chant in the world for starters’, the 44-year-old told Paddy Power News.

‘Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea. Wow. Lyrical gold’.

‘Maybe I’m mistaken but didn’t it win an Ivor Novello award?’.

‘No but seriously, it’s absolutely sh*te’.

And with damage limitation now Chelsea’s main objective for the rest of this chastening campaign, fans are calling for the head of director of football James Corden.

‘He’s about as talented at directing football as he is at starring in musicals’, one supporter told Paddy Power News.

‘Cats, The Prom, bloody Cinderella.

‘Corden was the worst thing to happen to Cinderella since her dad died.

‘This is the worst season in our 18-year history and I’m this close to supporting Newcastle’.

‘Corden out’.
